While I commend his desire to not want to live in a "logie", I don't think that's exactly what people are objecting to. I think they're objecting to his non-logie Maharaja tastes being a charge on the public purse.

Donald Ramotar recently appointed Bharrat Jagdeo to head a National Economic Council [NEC].
Ramon Gaskin was an economic adviser to President Jagdeo. He says Jagdeo will have absolute control of Guyana's economy as NEC Chairman.
If the PPP is returned to office on May 11, Jagdeo will hold the levers of power while Ramotar will be figurehead.
Kaieteur News reports: 'Former Presidential advisor and financial analyst Ramon Gaskin is of the view that this new position was created for Jagdeo to remain in government and occupy a key position within the country as chairman of the National Economic Council.
This body, he said, will give Jagdeo control over the countryâs finances since he would be directly involved in policy making and oversight of the public economic sector. Many government ministries and state institutions will fall under this Council and will have to report to its chairman.
The council would comprise all the main agencies Gaskin claimedâthe Ministry of Finance, Public Works, contracts, state planning, the procurement board, the Bank of Guyana, the Guyana Revenue Authority will all have to report to the economic chairman.
He suggested that as much as âthree-quarters of the government will be run by Jagdeo while Ramotar will just be the face of the presidency.â

Dr. Roopnarine (who get kick to the curb) also had issues about mansions in Guyana. The PNC aim is to put us back into the logie age. Yet, non of them (PNC) are not living in logies. The common citizen of Guyana have mansions, muchless Jagdeo. Guyana under the PPP means fastforwarding. Guyana under PNC means reversable. Something is very stink with the PNC.

Jagdeo was dishonest trying to make it sound as if Jagan lived in a posh Bel Air house.
My house is bigger than Jagan's house. Jagan's water tank is a 60s type metal container; he did not even have the back tanks. His house was 50s-60s. That was a very small house. I was kind of embarrassed at how simply they lived.

Yes I was wondering if I needed to get glasses. All I saw was a routine ordinary middle class house that looked like it needed some repair. And not something that elite Guyanese in 2015 would want to live in.................Then we saw Jagdeo's mansion that looks like something from the wealthier Westchester suburbs.
