Would he have been a fraud if he was playing for New York? Are both Carmelo and Amare frauds? Will Chris Paul be a fraud if he chooses to come to NY?

It takes a lot from people to place themselves in position where they can be overshadowed. It was suggested that Obama did not pick Hillary as his Vice Presidential candidate because her star power was equal to his. Derrick Rose ignored every communication from LeBron perhaps because he wanted to be the star. LeBron came to Miami primarily to play with his best friend and he knew that he would have to work in an environment with another player who was already a champion and an MVP to that but he still did and for 30M less. There is no guilt in that decision no matter how much the haters wish there were.

You didn't answer the question though. Amare was the FRANCHISE player on the Suns. Carmelo was the FRANCHISE player on the Nuggets. They trying to bait Chris Paul who is the FRANCHISE player on his team. If they are not worried about winning a championship then they should play for the Sixers or Cavs or some other bottom pecking team. If LeBron say tomorrow that he wants to play for NY the airwaves will be full of hope and planeloads of "important" NYer's will pay tribute to him and welcome him. Tell me when I am wrong.

Plus 100M Amare quit in the first round because of back pain while Wade played through the game with an injured hip. I admired Rando for playing with a dislocated elbow but it was difficult finding any media people to give Wade any credit for playing with an injured hip. All because they were too absorbed in their hatred for the Heat. LeBron busted his ass defending Pierce, Rose and Terry and ran out of steam. Perhaps Spols should have not played him for 40 plus minutes every game and he may have had more energy down the stretch. Dirk is a one dimentional player and good at it but the praises he is getting for staying in Dallas is ignoring the fact that he stayed there because the Heat did not request his services which he said he would have accepted. Would Howard be hated if he went to the Knicks to play on a championship built team rather than stay with the Magics and will them to a championship? I think not. As the writer in the article I posted above noted, LeBron does not even have a traffic ticket to stain his name. ESPN paid him 3M to announce his decision on their show (which he donated to two charities in Ohio) and went about advertising that they will first announce his decision. I am thinking that once he agreed to that format, his hands were tied to first tell the Caveliers since it would violate his agreement with ESPN and I think it is better that he secured the 3M to give charity is far better than telling Gilbert who may not have had any effect on those charities. Afterall, Gilbert is the owner of one of the worst predatory lending institutions in America.

I would not have given up Wade for LeBron last year because Wade has done a lot for us and has carried this team since his draft here in 2003. During the playoff, they were showing the playoff stats for Miami Heat players during their 23 years history and Wade is at the top in every category by a huge margin. However, I am glad that we did not have to do so and we still got the King who provided us with some everlasting memories in 2010-2011. Wade and James were the best 1-2 punch in the NBA last season and Wade, James and Bosh were the highest scoring trio during the same period. We need a reliable big to defend the basket and we may get just that. Last year when we seemed strapped by the cap with Beasley going nowhere and carrying a 13M salary, Riley once again did his magic and dumped baggage and was able to bring three very prime players together. This year he will complete the process. It is reasonable that last year's team was the worse team that will be assembled while the big three are together because two things will be going for Miami going forward, one is they have some time to put together the supoprting cast and two other players will be begging to play here as in the case of Bibby who gave up 6M to play for Miami this year. And even though we had flaws in our team last season, we still came withing two wins of the championship. No wonder Vegas has already picked us as the favorite for next season which has a lot of NBA fans (like Ray Smile) outside of Miami spinning like a top. Smile
