Amral is correct, I would purchase xom at 75 if it drops. They give a decent dividend at 3.7% but you have to be careful about capital gains loss and keep an eye on the price in case it drops below purchase. 

On the other hand, real estate in Guyana would not be a bad bet if Granger et al decide to invest in infra structure and crime fighting. 

RE would need someone to manage...

My advice if you want to any business in Guyana you have to be there.

I was thinking of setting up Staffing but then again the returns will not worth it.

The peculiarity of what is a corrupt reality across the society from the bottom to the top makes what we can offer problematic. It is not that one cannot do it and that most of us are equipped to prosper on the delivery of whatever service or products we hope to supply; doing it will be a grind and most of us are not needy enough to do actually undertake the task.

Exactly and real estate is in a speculative bubble, so unless some one is collecting reliable rents who knows.  One cannot guarantee what the valuations will be.

Correct.  The shock of limited benefits from oil will create a major nervous breakdown.  Maybe then there might be a popular coup and anyone named Granger, Harmon, Jagdeo, etc., will be barred from holding office.

That is welfare.  The gov't should focus on equipping Guyanese to create opportunities or to be able to perform the jobs that these initiatives will provide.

But a check to fund beer and rum is pure nonsense.
