I did ask him to delete the aliases. I guese he felt you sometimes need correcting and I could help.

The PNC is as incompetent as the PPP. I am glad for the switch of administration. The PPP were stealing us blind and their necrotizing corruption on the body politic would have killed the state. 23 years of do nothing thievery was too long. 

At least with these new lot the state can be taken off life support and hopefully since they need to be in power they will not be as nakedly crooked as the PPP. Maybe that is all the change we can have; a periodic disruption of the thieves from their habit so they have to be less crooked the next go around.

What media are your verses stored on currently? VHS? If so then it is easy. I did this some years back with all my family videos which were stored on VHS and 8mm. I used this little creature with the software that came with. You will capture the video and later edit with whatever software you choose.

I was referring to my audio cassettes. But I have been meaning to convert my wedding tape VHS to DVD for quite sometime now but I usually get bored and move away until I get the urge again to do these projects so this apparatus may hemp me with my VHS tape. Now I would like to connect my cassette player to my computer and turn these cassettes into mp4 clips. I bit primitive for the 21st century but I have searched far and wide and can't find this particular recitation on either cd or mp4.

Regarding my wedding cassette (VHS), I wouldn't find another copy of that no matter how far and wide I search.

I do not buy software anymore. I use open source and these are often of industrial strength caliber. The definitive site for clean, virus and malware sourcing of open source is sourceforge

For video editing you can start with this. I use this to organize my clip library and sound library and movie library. Sound editing software are by the hundreds. Use audacity for a general purpose editing. The site has hundreds of offerings and all for free. Use blender if you need to create your own worlds to insert in your video

Damn you are nasty! I wish there were Africans or brown people around me. I live in North Bethesda MD and unfortunately there are barely a handful of brown or black people around me. If there were more minorities around me I would not be harassed by the white cops as much! My neighbors are not racist since most are diplomats or NIH scientists. For video editing you can start with this. I use this to organize my clip library and sound library and movie library. Sound editing software are by the hundreds. Use audacity for a general purpose editing. The site has hundreds of offerings and all for free. Use blender if you need to create your own worlds to insert in your video

I have my favorite Quran recitation on audio cassettes. (While there are many different recitations that I can either buy or download, I prefer this one because closely represents the advise below).

أَوْ زِدْ عَلَيْهِ وَرَتِّلِ الْقُرْآنَ تَرْتِيلًا

and recite the Qur'an in slow, measured rhythmic tones. - Qur'an 73:4

Now I would like to connect my cassette player to my computer and turn these cassettes into mp4 clips. I bit primitive for the 21st century but I have searched far and wide and can't find this particular recitation on either cd or mp4.

Regarding my wedding cassette (VHS), I wouldn't find another copy of that no matter how far and wide I search.

That fellow lied. Audacity does not come with mp3 codex. It defaults to WAV files. If you need to record in mp3 you have to download and install Lame codex before it can work. I do not know why you need to buy their device if you already have a cassette player. Just use the cassette player output to your computer mike input using a cable with double headed 8mm jacks.

Remember to change the output file to mp3 after you download and install lame codex. It is in sourceforge.

Sorry dude. I couldn't find Lame codex. My tech skills are basic. I kinda like the little gadget though as a new approach. I have labored with this project on and off for over a decade and have not been able to attained the proper sound quality. There is a clicking sound on the digital clips that is not audible on the cassettes and my guess is the digital clips are more sensitive.
