Harbour Bridge Jumper: Efforts being made to locate body

[www.inewsguyana.com] – Officials of the Demerara Harbour Bridge (DHB) are still trying to locate the body of a woman who jumped off the floating structure on Tuesday afternoon.
iNews understands that Management is obtained video footage in order to confirm the woman’s identity. The footage showed a woman walking onto the bridge at approximately 15:05hrs, wearing a skirt, top and was also carrying a black shoulder bag.
General Manager of the Demerara Harbour Bridge, Rawlston Adams told Reporters that officials received a call that there was a woman who mounted herself on a section of the bridge, in an attempt to jump off.
A female security of the DHB then hurried to the section but as she approached the woman, she jumped.
Ranks from the police marine section were called contacted and efforts are being made to recover the body.
On Christmas Eve day, a woman jumped off the very bridge. Her body was immediately recovered.
