Hand-in-Hand Insurance Company, Republic Bank support RHTY&SC Annual Award

The Plan by the Management of the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club, MS to host its 28th Annual Award Ceremony received a major boost on Thursday last when two long standing sponsors handed out donations to the event. Insurance giants, Hand-in-Hand Insurance Company and the Rose Hall Town Branch of Republic Bank donated trophies towards the honouring of outstanding members.

Club Secretary/CEO Hilbert Foster stated that preparation has started early with the formation of a planning Committee headed by him and Vice President Mark Papannah. The event would be held on the 15th April, 2018, at the St. Francis Training Centre, Patron of the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports  Club, MS President David Granger has been invited to deliver the Feature Address at the Ceremony where a total of 65 Club Members, Law Enforcement Officers, Teachers, Students and Berbice Role Models would be honoured.
Apart from its own Awards Ceremony, the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club will also be hosting the Tribute to Law Enforcement Officers, Bank of Nova Scotia Tribute to Teachers, Tribute to Outstanding Students and Tribute to Role Models Programme in what is Guyana’s largest Awards Ceremony. A total of six outstanding Guyanese would also receive the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club highest Award “The Dolphin Award of Excellence”.

Among the Awards to be shared to Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club Members would be Most Promising Player, Most Committed Member, Under-15 Player of the Year – 2017, Under-19 Player of the Year, Female Player of the Year, Discipline Member of the Year, worker of the Year, Benefit Year and Cricketer of the Year. The Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club would also be making donations to several NGOs during the event and inducting a total of eighteen Honourary Members.
A total of $2.5M worth of trophies, medals, souvenirs, gifts and donations would be handed out while winners of a Berbice wide Essay Competition for Primary and Secondary Schools would also receive their prizes. Foster, the long standing Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club Secretary/CEO, hailed the contributions of Hand-in-Hand Insurance and Republic Bank and described them as true friends of Guyana’s leading Youth and Sports Club. Hand-in-Hand handed over five trophies to honour junior cricketers of the Club, while Republic Bank continued its sponsorship of the Disciplined Player of the Year Award.
Meanwhile, Executives of the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club, its ten cricket teams and Over-35 Group on Tuesday last met with a team of Officials from the Small Business Bureau. The Bureau team informed the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club delegation on opportunities available to youths concerning the establishment of businesses and creation of jobs. Club Secretary/CEO Hilbert Foster pledged the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club full support to the Small Business Bureau and would be working to promote its work among youths in Berbice.
The Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club and its parent body, the St. Francis Community Developers has also agreed to provide office space for the establishment of an office for the Bureau in the Lower Corentyne area.
