Some in the GDF and the police have always supported criminals in Guyana.
When Burnham came to power the police and the GDF welcomed criminals with open arms in their ranks.They did not have to go through the rigorous educational training as before. These two arms became corrupt as a result. Even after some of them left the GDF and police, who did they work for? the drug lords.
