Wait on law enforcement to do what? Citizens are now left to protect themselves and do their own investigations to track down criminals. You cannot worry about waiting for all those improvements Rohee said he made.

Dexter Lindo, of Kitty, was reportedly shot three times at around 13.00 hrs after being cornered by the licensed firearm holder at the junction of Light and Sixth Streets, Alberttown.
His condition is listed as critical.  Two other men managed to escape.
Police recovered an unlicensed firearm, a slipper and a wallet with local and foreign currency from a tinted white Toyota Premio car, bearing registration number PMM 4657, that the suspects had allegedly used.
According to reports, Lindo and others were suspects in a robbery which was committed on a businesswoman at Bourda last week.
The victim’s brother, who received information of what transpired, began enquiring about the suspects and their vehicle.
There are reports that the men found out that the businesswoman’s brother was looking for them.
“When they hear that, they went back to the store yesterday and threatened the woman. After they leave, she called her brother and he immediately started looking,” a police source said.
The brother allegedly caught up with the men in Alberttown.
It is alleged that one of the men shot at the brother who returned fire and wounded Lindo, who reportedly ran into a nearby shop where the police found him covered in blood.
At the hospital yesterday, the suspect’s mother refused to speak to the media and prevented other relatives and friends from divulging information.

Restaurant at D’Urban Street, Wortmanville.
Debbie Blackman, of Critchlow Street, Tucville, was reportedly shot while standing behind the counter, after serving the bandits, who had gone there under the pretext of purchasing food. Some reports suggest that the robbers killed the mother of five because she refused to cooperate with them. It is unclear whether the robbers took anything of value.
A senior police official told Kaieteur News that police were preparing to review footage from surveillance cameras at the restaurant, since it is believed that the brazen act was recorded. Kaieteur News understands that the restaurant owners were behind the counter and out of sight when the shooting occurred.
Blackman’s body remained in the restaurant for some two hours before being taken away by porters from the Lyken Funeral Parlour.
The murder occurred just five days after two bandits, also on a CG motorcycle, shot dredge owner Ashook Ragghu dead and wounded his wife, Shyrazadi Ragghu, when their car stopped at the traffic light at the Vlissengen Road and Regent Street junction.
The robbers escaped with a bag containing some $4M and the slain man’s licenced firearm.
Travis McDougall, 24, of Lot 422 East Ruimveldt Housing Scheme, was charged last Friday for Ragghu’s murder. His alleged accomplice is still to be charged.
Yesterday’s murder came at a time when police have reported an escalation in gun-related crimes.

I will once again say what I said before. Start  hanging some people. These guys have no regard for law, order or human life. A strong message must be sent. It is only then, I think these criminal minded individuals would think twice before engaging in such wanton acts of violence.

there was  a time when you would only be robbed, but live to tell the tale. Not so nowadays. smh.

I remember the days when criminals did swing. But jailing them shouldn't be an option. Not for this breed we have roaming around now. They will make themselves comfortable in whichever penal system they're sent to; breakfast lunch and dinner provided free of charge by the sate. Too humane.
I say hang these bastards, all of them!  Let them reflect on how it feels to lose their lives while they took others.

Why jail them and wait to hang them? Shoot the bastards on sight. They are the cancer of society.

Skelly,

Guyana needs someone like Brother Gaj to deal with the cockroaches criminals.

So if I understand what you are saying Fujiyama is that Guyana should get criminals to get rid of the criminals?

Didn't the PPP already invoke that plan? and how well did that work for them?

Is that what the PPP is gearing up for with the hiring of the entire Rabbi Washington criminal gang now squarely in the PPP?
