Guyana elections 2015: The miscreant and the cockroach

By Paul Sanders

Caribbean Daylight, NY April 2015

Ya gotta admit it, man. This guy is a Gl*******. Plain and simple.

There's no nicer euphemism to soften it.

How could a lowly, upstart of an activist got into his skin? A "miscreant" in the fancy language of erudite

people. The brudda's afterword, for certain. C'mon now, he can do better than that.

Dr. Bheri Ramsaran is the Minister of Health, supposedly representing the well being of a nation, keeping the

pulse of the people on his watch - and a prominent personality on the PPP's nomination list.

And yet, he lost it. All. The man just simply freaked out. He started bugging out and went totally psycho when

women's activist Ms Sherlina Nageer interjected him with some blazing questions outside the Whim's

courthouse. This was a totally "shock and awe" approach, combining a good in your face variety.

It looked like the verbal version of a Hollywood drive-by shooting. Gotta say man, that is one badass chick with

some good kickass political attitude. A firebrand.

It worked. Because Dr. Ramsaran did not have the political acumen, nor the PR savvy to deflect a pushy

inquirer. Nor the truth to bail him out of the ammo that Ms. Nageer was blasting at him. So, like every

desperate, power hungry, morally bankrupt madman, he reached to the bottom of the cesspool and brought

out the worst of himself.

Yeah, it's that bad. Worst than foot in the mouth. Dr. Ramsaran did not have to push his head into his rectum

and spew that kind of bile from his mouth. No, he did not have to go into the frenzy, characterizing the woman

as a "a little piece of s**t," nor utter such threats as to "slap her ass just for the fun," and have "some of my

women strip her."

All of that while the cameras were rolling. And there you have it: what women's rights groups are calling a

chauvinistic pig. On the streets of Georgetown, they'd call him a "crabdog." Same thing.

That's messed up. Disrespecting women. Being abusive. Totally messed up. Big time. And so he's got the

women's group all around the country calling for his head. Protest groups everywhere capitalizing on his

stupidity. Then you'd think he'll do the right thing, right?

Wrong. But he tried. Dr. Ramsaran's apology was supposed to be a PR stunt. To clean it up. The man blew it

again. Lord, talk about being stupid. He sought to blame the victim for his temper and told us that Ms Nageer

had "rabies" and needs "psychiatric" help. What the....!

Are you serious, Dr. Ramsaran? Help? Really? Jeez man, look at sheet now. It just hit the fan. Gone totally

viral. Now the international community is on your case. And the only person now who loves ya is ya mama.

Talk about help, this guy needs no help whatsoever; he's a natural at being the best Gl******* this season.

There are Gl*******s everywhere in the PPP's camp. It seemed like the party just launched a Gl*******

bootcamp for their cadres lately. Gl*******s are popping up like mushrooms everywhere. Unexpectedly. And

there is no such thing as a nice Gl*******.

Former president Mr. Bharrat Jagdeo is the Chief of all Gl*******s. He has reached stardom and celebrity

status. In fact, he invented Glassholism and Cussology as the new methodology in public discourse, and

elevated it to newer heights of unhinged paranoia. And he's got quite a few fine graduates, most notable

Kellawan Lall, Anil Nandlall, Priya Manikchand, Kwame McCoy, Clement Rohee. Well, you know these wingnuts

when you see them and hear them trip out.

But back to Dr. Ramsaran. Ms Sherlina Nageer's bewilderment about the Minister's presence in a protest line

was definitely aggravating, but spot on, which just pissed him off big. What the heck was he doing there?

Wasn't he supposed to be somewhere else more productive, brainstorming new approaches and policies to

stop the mounting maternal and infant death rates? Wasn't he supposed to figure out what to do with the

world's highest suicide rate that's happening right under his nose?

Yes, and yes, and yes! But the man felt compelled to prove his political reliability; he had to make the best

sound bites; he had to flex, and to stage the best electioneering drama for the Guyana Times. And he got

drama, alright?

Bottom line: Dr. Ramsaran's rendition is nothing new altogether. Nor is it isolated. His churlishness, like that of

his colleagues, is about the new brutality on the campaign trail, about uncharted frontiers of invasiveness,

nastiness, and the bitchiness the incumbent party would reach to prowl for relevance.

It's about showmanship. It's about the PPP's candidates so driven; it's about self importance so vacuous that

the caress of the spotlight reveals the indignities of those who masquerade as our country's aspirants. And

when called out, and cornered with opposing points of view, they reach for what is most primordial and

exorbitant, exemplified by their principals: Glassholism.

Take a look at the PPP again. That arrogance that leads the intellectual bankruptcy, that degrangement that

parades as inspiration, the dishonesty that mocks morality, that criminality, gangsterism and corruption that

pass as business protocol- all of it stems from the mindset of the PPP's big boys, their families and friends that

Guyana and its people are their personal property.

This madness must stop. Change must come. It is time.

It is also time to pay attention to the croackroach who chose to speak from the rat hole. This is where rancid

racism went porn. Guyana Times published Vasan I. Ramracha's dirty letter online for a few hours and then

suddenly hauled it off.

Smart move but too late. Ramracha's toxic commentary hit the social media and beyond before Guyana Times

could access damage control. When a rag like Guyana Times has to pull off an article, it means it is bad and

irreparable. It means the editor has a stomach. Somewhat.

So who is Vasan I. Ramracha? Dunno. Except that he is a close associate of that traveling guy who is brighter

than all of us. The guy who does some kinda poll that favors the ruling elite. Besides, he's strong on identity

politics, particularly, the East Indian cause in Guyana, and beyond. That's the guy - denounced as a bogus and a

racist.

So Ramracha must be some kind of Indian Nazi, right? Right. Here's what this dude wrote: Indians vote for

Granger along with some cockroach Indians politicians in the APNU+AFC will be a vote of thanks for killing

Indians and the Guyana econmy.

Wow. Heavy stuff. Kudos to you brother Ramracha, for educating us that the axiom here is that the APNU is a

cockroach party, and those Indians who support the APNU+AFC coalition are cockroaches. Ramracha is also

admitting the PPP is "coolie" party - free of cockroaches. Well, comrade Clement Rohee is slightly ahead of

Ramracha with the "coolie" assertion.

But it's good to know where Ramracha is coming from. Try finding out the context in which Ramracha is

writing and you soon realize this man is over the top with racist sheet. In the mandirs, it is called Apaan Jhaat.

Nothing new here. What is amazing is the manifestations in which evil and madness get sanctified in an

election year that has so much at stake for the ordinary, grassroots Guyanese. It is also quite amazing to

witness first hand the intellectual dishonesty, the artful proclivities of those who wish to inject their version of

history and racial agenda.

Ms. Ryhaan Shah's correspondence and Dr. Dolly Hasan's piece in the Stabroek News of late, as well as Swami

Aksharananda's missive provide a preview of the kind of academic acrobatics aimed at stultifying an audience.

But twist it any which way, behind all the scholarship and vocabulary, these folks are advocating the same thing

that Vasan I. Ramracha is advancing.

Again, Apaan Jhaat, as raphsodized by a schmuck, and Apaan Jhaat mesmerized in intellectual jargon is still

Apaan Jhaat. Go figure.

Which leads us to the real question: is this elections about racial reckoning, retrograde flow of human

development, a state of permanent conflict? Or a dynamic leap into the future as a people of one nation?
