GT Motorsports’ Endurance Rental Cup … King, Rahaman, Vieira participation creating buzz

Drivers the calibre of Andrew King, Cyril Angoy, Jad Rahaman, Wayne Vieira and Harold Hopkinson, all former outstanding competitors in motorsports are expected to present young fans with the opportunity to witness their skills.
These retired motor racers will be competing in tonight’s GT Motorsports’ Endurance Rental Cup which will be staged, at the Guyana Motor Racing and Sports Club on Albert Street and Thomas Lands.
They will compete in the Hall of Fame event and already there is a buzz among racing fans that this event could steal the spotlight on a night that is expected to provide exciting entertainment for the fans.
Also expected to supply plenty action is the All-girls race, a welcome addition to the programme.
Among the teams set to participate are: MMR, Gizmos & Gadgets, Palm Court, Nexus and Rent-a-Tent.
The event is sponsored by Secure Innovations & Concepts and E-Racing.
Team Nexus swept both the 500lb and 600lb categories at the last event in March.
Brian Ten Pow, Gregory Mohamed and Carlos Rodrigues were the drivers that represented the Team in the 500lbs Class, while Rodrigues, Steven Nobrega and Matthew Phang competed for them in the 600lbs category.
Ten Pow and Phang recorded the fastest lap times in their respective categories.

“You do not need to own a kart to participate; our Rental Karts are inclusive of participating in this competition,” GT Motorsports said in a Facebook post.
The Endurance Rental Cup is being sponsored by Secure Innovations and Concepts, Karcher, E-Networks and the Track Bar, and organised by GT Motorsports.
Admission to the venue is free.
