No info for Champion Athlete Compton Caesar submitted

The Guyana Olympic Association (GOA) has expressed dissatisfaction over the poor management of the Athletics Association of Guyana (AAG) which has seen a delay in the simple but significant process of submitting their list of athletes and officials who will be representing Guyana at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in the Gold Coast, Carrara, Australia.
The deadline for submitting such was last week Friday and according to the GOA boss, K.A. Juman-Yassin, this deadline was not met and the list which was submitted late didn’t meet the prerequisite requirements.
Juman-Yassin further stated that among requirements which were omitted from the list, included the athlete’s/officials’ biometrics, passport copy, coloured photographs and email address to name a few.
In addition, the GOA head noted that no information was received by his body for Guyana’s history making Compton Caesar who won the first Gold medal by a Guyanese in this year’s CARIFTA Games and also won Gold in the locally hosted South American Junior Games.
When the AAG was contacted, they couldn’t confirm when exactly the initial list was submitted but the head of that sports association Aubrey Hutson noted that they (AAG) are working assiduously to correct and complete the list before today’s 12:00hrs deadline. (Calvin Chapman)
