GMR&SC International Drag Race Meet… ‘Dragz War 2’ set for October 2 at South Dakota Circuit

Following their convincing display in neighbouring Suriname recently, local dragsters will now turn their attention to the Guyana Motor Racing & Sports Club (GMR&SC) October 2 International Meet scheduled to be staged, at the South Dakota Circuit.
Part of the action at a previous Drag Meet that featured the Daby siblings Rondel and Peter, at the South Dakota Circuit.
According to President of the GMR&SC Raj Boodhoo, the Guyanese contingent that competed in the Dutch territory recently performed outstandingly and the upcoming event set up nicely for a scintillating duel against the Surinamese who will no doubt be aiming for revenge.
Team Guyana that was represented by Sanjay Persaud, Peter and Rondel Daby, Sean Persaud and Azrudeen Mohamed proved too fast for their Dutch counterparts, winning most of the titles on offer.
Sanjay Persaud and Peter Daby in their Mazda RX 7 machines reached the semi-finals in their category, while Sean Persaud driving a Toyota wagon won the 11 seconds Class.
Rondell Daby behind the wheels of a Toyota Supra captured the 10 seconds class and is now considered to be amongst the fastest cars in the Caribbean.
The event is dubbed ‘Dragz War 2’.The price of admission is children $500 and adults $1000 and the event is Sponsored by GTT, Fly Jamaica and Ansa Mcal.
