In GNI Political Archives there are posts upon posts cussing down Gerhard, particularly from yuji22 and Rev. These two guys have now graciously accepted the PPP defeat but history is history and their anti-Gerhard posts are in recorded history.Indeed the seed of the present APNU+AFC coalition was planted last summer by Gerhard with some support from TK. When news was swirling that Gerhard had defected to the PNC, what the gentleman was actually doing was establishing a bridge between David Granger and Moses Nagamootoo. I know for certain that was precisely his goal, to get a Granger-Nagamootoo ticket.

Gerhard, like his father Boyo and all patriots, believes the solution to Guyana's problems lies in National Unity.

Well, National Unity starts on a solid foundation from today with the support of 50+% of the population.

Good post Gilly.

As most here who like myself wanted to see AFC do some damage and stay away from the other two parties, I was a bit surprised when Gerhard and TK made that move, then it dawned on me, I'm sitting my ass wayyyyy over the other side, who the rass am I to say where those fellas should go, there had to be something for them to make a move like this and I figured there is no way they would have done so especially after meeting Gerhard a while back and from what I saw in him, he is welcome in my home anytime, cept when I'm-a-rockin ...yeee hawwww!

It will be an ongoing task of the Coalition AFC/APNU to win the support of the other 49% of the country and to prove that they represent ALL.

It should be an ongoing task of the 49% of the country (who lost)to win the support the other 51% (who won)of the country and to prove that they accept themselves as Guyanese first and foremost.

no single party wins 100% support but must work to support ALL.
