GBA to stage Shuttle Time programme to observe Olympic Day

The Guyana Badminton Association will be running off the Badminton World Federation & Pan American Shuttle Time Programme in observance of Olympic Day which will be conducted by Mr. Richard Wong (BWF Shuttle Time Tutor & Coach) today to Sunday.
Shuttle Time offers school teachers access to free resources, training and equipment, which support the teaching of enjoyable, safe and inclusive badminton activities to children aged 5-15 years old. Shuttle Time lessons are designed to provide children with a positive image of badminton through many opportunities to have fun, engage with others, and experience success.
The programme (June 23-25, 2017) scheduled for today to Sunday will see sessions in the morning from: 9:30am-12:30pm (theory) with a break for lunch at 1230:pm and the afternoon sessions (practical): -3:00pm -7:00pm today, tomorrow 1:30 – 5:00pm and Sunday 1:30 – 5:00pm.
The morning sessions are fixed for the GOA Headquarters on High Street Kingston for the Theoretical part, while the afternoon sessions are at the National Gymnasium for the Practical work. It will give P.E. teachers the opportunity to use Badminton during P.E sessions and also teach it to the Students writing a Sport for CSEC/Cape Exams and also help them with understanding Badminton.
Certificates will be issued at the end of the Programme
