The late Dr. Cheddi Jagan's Grand daughter encourages Guyanese youths to get out and vote and be the change...She wrote a Facebook note for Guyana...

Vrinda S. Jagan wrote:

With the elections in Guyana steadily approaching, I continue to be contacted by members of the community for advice and guidance. I am honored that anyone would seek my advice in a decision that requires serious personal thought and evaluation. I am fully aware that some people seek my perspective simply because of the inherent trust that comes along with bearing the name that I so proudly carry.

While we should not live in the past, we should always remember the dreams that so elegantly carried my grandfather through the most trying times in Guyana’s history. Remember why he is the father of the nation, and remember that he continued to fight when faced with adversity, always remember but move forward towards a new day.

My grandfather believed in a unified Guyana, one undivided by race, religion or any other barrier. We should continue the long fight towards ending the perpetuation of racism, fear, and hate that continues to plague the nation. I encourage everyone to look at all sides of the political race, do your research with due diligence, find out which candidate will better serve your interests and that of the working class (the majority class), and then decide which side you would rather see serve you. If you can vote, then do so. I wholeheartedly encourage the youth to get out there and be active, be the change, make a difference, fight for what you believe is right. Help promote social mobility, equality, and peace.

Home or abroad (as so many of us are), let us all continue to work for the betterment of the Guyanese people; which was the vision that fueled my grandfather until he took his last breath.

“Whatever the obstacles, cost and sacrifice, we will continue to work for racial and working class unity…” – Dr. Cheddi B. Jagan

Very nice.

When you can no longer have the support of the Founders' children and grandchildren, you know the PPP has lost its way.  The party of Jagan has become a party of Kleptos.  They moved from PPP Jaganite to PPP Jagdeoite, a parasitic bourgeoisie of contractors and govt people.

Oh why don't this third generation Jagan haul her ass.  What has she ever done for the Guyanese people to want to lecture them how to vote?

Even Varshanie Jagdeo has serve the people better.

The people are smart and they shall vote RIGHT.

She is quite pretty.

She must be ashamed of how the PPP Jagdeoites keep repeating that they have not departed from the ideals of Jagan.

They insult the memory of a great man. These Kleptos have no shame.

They smell victory.  JOBS for the Jagans.

Brian, during the 2011 elections campaign, Freedom House assigned Joey Jagan to speak at a Port Mourant public meeting specifically on Moses Nagamootoo's alleged betrayal of the PPP. Freedom House wanted Joey to do their dirty work and he complied, much to his regret later on. Anyway, both Joey and Moses have put that behind them and are moving forward.

Mahatma Ghandi failed to unite India and so Jagan failed to unite Guyana.  It does not matter what Jagan believed in, he failed.

In the 60's, Jagan told Indians what they want to hear, that is, Indians must make the sacrifice and stick together. Jagan constantly reminding them how he, himself, took the Indians out of the logies and gave them a life.

On the other hand, he told the blacks that the PPP is not an Indian party and everybody must learn to co-exist side by side.    Blacks are welcome in the PPP after all the party was formed by blacks.

Dr Joey was not allowed to join the PPP party. He was only allowed to join the Civic and it's leader Sam Hinds. His father mother and godfather founded that party and he is not allowed to be a member.

He was a full fledged member. He was a PPP MP.  He resigned because his mother didn't give him a ministerial post.  After living in the USA for so many years, he went back and found that his father has changed the rule.  You have to be in Guyana foe seven years before you can have a MP job.

Janet and Chedi didn't practice nepotism.

Don't give me that nonsense. Why did Ramoutar stop replying to Dr Joey's letters on polices when he had promised to listen to Dr Joey's recommendations for his support during the last election.

Joey has been a loose cannon, but his endorsement of the Coalition still has symbolic value.  When the founders children are not with you, you can't claim to be a party of Jagan, a good man, not a Klepto like the current crowd.

They should try to get Vrinda to of to Guyana and endorse the Coalition.
