For the off road folks

I thought I told you the Sahara is the way to go dude. The Compass had issues I hope they have been corrected. Only negative with the Sahara is their price is always high...never drops.

The wifey hated the Sahara. I loved the Sahara. The 2018 Compass has been totally redesigned. Price was not an issue.

The 2018 Compass is the Baby GC.

Will add the 2018 Fiat Spider for fun driving next summer. Retirement is coming up so time to put the money saved in a second set of wheels in the Fiat Spider.

Wifey wanted me to get the Compass, could not argue with the Ministeress of Finance. The 2018 Compass has been totally redesigned engine, transmission and all.

The Compass was designed by Jeep to compete with the Baby Ranger Rover, shape and all. I drove it to NYC and back and loved it 100 times better than the BMW X3. Handling and suspension was the sweetest ride ever.

The savings on Gas was just incredible.

I told the wifey that that I will get the Fiat 124 Spider Convertible with the money saved and she had no objection.

Will post on the Spider 124 next summer.

The 2016 had many issues but possibly all ironed out now..I'm not much into Fiat but the spider would be a fun car to drive. I'll be assisting with working on rebuilding a Mustang and my ole Benz when I get to New Brunswick next spring/summer. That should keep me busy for awhile.

Chrysler is no good. Wife once got a new caravan. Needless to say, it was a piece of sh*t. I have been buying Hondas since the late 80s.

I agree with you, domestics are crap. I just got me a Subaru Crosstrek for the winter driving, it's a 2L engine, all wheel drive, very good on regular gas.I can be seen for miles, I got the orange colour.

Still got 1999 Chrysler Town and Country Lxi,all wheel drive 183,000 miles,no major problems, regular maintenance, currently i am rebuilding, doing it my self.

I like Chrysler vehicles, currently 3 in the yard, cheaper to maintain than Foreign Imports.

It all depends on how a vehicle works for someone. I have a bro in law who only has Ford...another who only buys Dodge.

A buddy of mine needed a vehicle for a couple weeks and decided to get an Audi. The first day it started leaking rad fluid so he took it back. I jokingly told him his mistake was not getting a Benz so he decided to get that instead but a couple days later something went on it, again he took that one back. He was told he had to wait for a vehicle there were no premium ones at the time. He noticed a Hyundia SUV on the lot, told them he needed one asap and took that. He drove it for the rest of the time with no complaints and even spoke well of the ride.

Same with women. One can be the sexiest thing ever but good at nothing while another could be plain Jane but treat you like a king giving you the time of your life.

It's all in the ride.

I see Yuji22 's subject is about off roading vehicles, but many would spend tons for that feature, yet never would take the vehicle in mud. My 4 wheel drive is for winter and to be driven in the Canadian snow.

The dealer told me that very few off road vehicles will ever see an offload trail.

Gilly's Grasshawk needs no compass to Sahara. It does emit a tiny amount of greenhouse gas that is far below yuji's Mudhawk's pollution level.

Definitely Environmentally friendly. The only problem is how will the driver handle the emission when released ?

I also have a mathematical question, how many Donkey Power = One Horsepower ?  After all, we are talking about Horsepower with regards to vehicles.

Another question, how can someone actually measure the emission released by Donkey Powered vehicles, after the cart on that vehicle does have mechanical parts ?

How about safety ratings ?

Gilly, you have really complicated things now that you have involved this environmentally friendly vehicle.

Excellent response. I cannot even add or subtract anything to what you just posted.

I gave myself some thoughtful time to the wording of a question to the omniscient Sri Googleji. Decided on "horsepower versus donkey power". I got this answer: "The term ‘horsepower’ was created to describe the number of horses, or donkeys, that an engine would replace to do heavy work. This idea was used to help market the new steam engine, often rendering horses and donkeys redundant. And now here Sytner is, proving that not only are donkeys still extremely useful, they can be championed by the very industry that horses and donkeys helped build. The story of horsepower and donkey power has come full circle!"

From the above I gather that horsepower = donkeypower. Read the interesting article at The Donkey Sanctuary UK

Bai, did you ever hear about mule power? I was told that mules are stronger than horses. I remember Skeldon Estate had a lot of mules pulling the punts from the backdam to the factory.

My Honourable Friend Gil made a very interesting find by consulting with Googleji:

Thank you brother Gil. Special thanks to Googleji Bhai.

Chrysler makes the worse cars in America. My friend had a minivan and an Intrepid. The biggest piece of crap cars around. He had to change the engine on the intrepid after about 8 years only to give up and dump it a couple years later. The minivan was smoking by the time it reached 100,000 miles. I look at many Chrysler minivans on the road. When they are moving off from the light, they are smoking and they are not that old.

I mentioned, still have a top of the line 1999 Town and Country all wheel drive,183,000 miles,no smoking found the head cover grommets was causing oil leaks. The transmission have easy fix,two speed sensors and control module and you are good to go.I am currently rebuilding, doing it my self, changed all lights,re-done the header, got the carpet to replace, and few rust spots to take care of,spent just over $900.00.Guess i have good luck, bought it for my 50 th Birthday.

I kinda go for quality cars that last long.  Have a nice Acura MDX SUV For the past 7 years.  My first SUV, don’t think I can go back to driving a car.  It’s gr8 for snow, flooding... u name it.. plus I am always in a hurry🚗🇬🇾😁

I still like my 2003 Toyota 4Runner which is older than my high school kid. Has over 200k miles. The two ladies drive BMW which they like. My daughter's lease ends next August and I suggested to her that she get a alfa romero but she declined. While I like the back of this car, that middle part of the front is not too pretty.

Idiotic woman, I have no ties to any political party in Guyana and I certainly don't have time to waste by gossiping about GNI. That would be something you and your sister Bibi would do since you don't have much of a life beyond GNI. I'm not so desperate for friends that I'd have to resort to meddling with plebs like you and your GNI PPP cohorts. I came here to laugh at that jackass who thinks that he's the only one here who ever drove a luxury car and Django engaged me in a civilized conversation so I politely answered him.
