G/T Public Hospital making improvement to allow fathers to be with their wives in the delivery room. All the time I thought fathers were allowed before now to experience the delivery process and to give love and support to the mother during that painful time a woman has to go through. This confirms that my father was not with my mother when I was born. This is unacceptable. Now that I am a father of my own children, I was there to see them all even before my wife. That is a wonderful experience to teach them when you read bedtime stories to them.

Agreed bro, I never knew this.

I had planned on being in the hospital delivery room also but alas, never got the chance.

My son was born in bed, our bedroom. The ambulance came for us afterward. That surely was an experience after cleaning him off and clearing those small nostrils then placing him on his mothers stomach for warmth. The paramedics cut the cord when they arrived.

I was with my wife during all the deliveries.

You know, if fathers was allowed during deliveries in GY, many babies and mothers might still be alive, because they would have demanded the service from lazy nurses.

This lacks so much  compassion and nurturing for the mother and baby.
