“The Market Man” has commented with a point by point demolition of Priya Manickhand’s pseudo condemnation of her PPP/C colleague Bheri “Slap Her Ass” Ramsarran….

Take a read:

I note that the honourable feral blaster Priya Manickchand has hit out on Facebook. This has caused me to reflect on our own stalwart for women’s rights.

Firstly, Priya opens with an old PPP tactic of casting doubt on whether in fact Bheri made the statements that “he is reported” to have made. We suspect this is more of a PPP reflex reaction rather than lawyerly caution since the “qualification” is destroyed by calling for a retraction and apology.

Secondly, the thought of Bheri Ramsarran being in physical danger from Sherlina Nageer is nothing but a pathetic fvck!ng joke. A not so subtle form of implying that somehow she was “asking fer it” or at least “asking fer” something.

She then has an almost flash of brilliance by saying “He may also wish to do some soul searching and see if that is really how he feels about women, irrespective of whether they are irritants. He must examine how he feels about his responsibility to answer members of the public irrespective of if those said members are asking questions in an unconventional way”.

Nice. But is it that the PPP is going to leave it up to Bherri to do some “soul searching” and come to them and resign if he finds himself to be misogynistic or unaccountable to citizens? Is that how the PPP operates with the public interest and public trust? On an (dis)honour system? The above came very close (but not quite) to the real crux of the matter which is that it is Priya and the rest of the Gang that must do some soul searching to determine whether they have any values and principles at all. Is there anything that they stand for?…is there any behaviour that one of “their own” could indulge in that would be so repugnant to their sense of right and wrong that to the last (wo)man they would either cast that one out, or (like Ralph) refuse to continue to be counted amongst such company.

Thus far they have stood fast with their comrades in the face of plausible links to thievery, murder, fraud, paedophilia and maybe other criminality not yet publicly known. This is the real issue, but she sails imperiously past it and focuses on the straw man that inevitably must be relied upon by the PPP in these circumstances.

Priya correctly notes that Bheri did not get to this stage overnight, but then proceeds by use of sophistry to put massively disproportionate blame on the Opposition for the current state of affairs, excoriating those who are “calling for his head”. I see no one in the PPP “calling for his head” so she must mean those “other” than the PPP. The PPP’s stance in this period (presumably before the party line is defined and the Speakers’ Notes are issued) range from denial, obfuscation, and painting the incident as a minor indiscretion – much ado about nothing.

For the record – those who sided with Henry Greene were exclusively on the side of the PPP…none of them are now “calling for Bheri’s head”. Rank sophistry.
Furthermore Henry Greene obtained an injunction against his accuser even having her day in court! Nothing could be further from the situation where Raphael Trotman obtained an injunction against his accuser repeating allegations in the public domain. In stark contradistinction to the late Mr. Greene, Mr. Trotman, an Opposition MP, requested the government-controlled police force to investigate the claims that were being made against him by his accuser. The fact that a person with Ms. Manickchand’s education and legal specialization can glibly attempt to conflate the cases leaves one with no option but to dismiss her postulations as political posturing. Hypocritical sophistry!! That is the extent of her concern for Mr. Greene’s alleged victim.

When Ms. Manickchand refers to the controversial recording of Mr. Felix she conveniently forgets the fact that the issue of “planting” was perhaps the sole issue on that recording that Mr. Felix publicly addressed, indicating that the recording was tampered with and falsified. On the contrary, Mr. Nandlall has admitted the authenticity of his own recording (the authenticity of which quite comically, Priya and the rest of cabinet are still awaiting confirmation on – independent of Nandlall’s admission). She also totally ignores the fact that Ramsarran has also owned up to speaking the words (at least implicitly by apologizing). The fact is that Mr. Felix protested that the recording was tampered with and distorted AND PEOPLE BELIEVED HIM. The problem with Ms. Manickchand’s analogies (and they all have some problem) is that the PPP generally *know* that Nandlall and now Bheri uttered the words but they still protect them. THAT is what “condoning” is Ms. Manickchand. It is excusing inexcusable behaviour. One cannot condemn or condone, that which one does not believe.

We can give Priya unqualified support on the matter of Kaieteur News’ treatment of Sooba. One out of six. Good enough by PPP standards.

Ms. Manickchand claims to be hurt by the AFC’s characterization of her as “Sitira”. The fact of the matter is that there are different aspects to “Sitira’s” character. Some prominent aspects of that character are crassness, commonness, vulgarity, uncouthness and ill-breeding. These aspects of Sitira’s character correlate perfectly with Ms. Manickchand’s tasteless and lowbred “feral blast” at the home of the outgoing US Ambassador Mr. Hardt in his own home. That Ms. Manickchand, again an educated person, jumps past the obvious and leaps to promiscuity (the least likely imputation) reeks once again of political grandstanding…shrill hyperbole and specious sophistry. In passing, we note that Dr. Luncheon’s description of the incident as “feral” (i.e. relating to a wild beast) draws no reprobation from Ms. Manickchand.

Ms. Manickchand closes with the ostensibly admirable generalization “This environment…is being maintained by our partisan approach to addressing gender issues. When it was your party or your friend involved you stayed quiet.” Nice generality, and nice sophistry given that 90% of the preceding pointed the finger at the opposition. Priya however does not deal with her own specific cases of deafening fvck!ng silence when the stakes were highest i.e. Jagdeo, Kwame, Lall and others. The fact is that in the grand scale of things…from Jagdeo, to Ramsarran1, to Ramsarran2, to Kwame, to Kellawan Lall, to Henry Greene to Nandlall, to the latest Ramsarran escapade and all in between. The preponderance of support for this sexual misconduct and violence against women has been on the part of the PPP.
In the final analysis Priya and the PPP must own their latest denizen of the den of depravity. The fact is that they need neither permission nor approbation from the opposition (or from any of us) to kick the Bheri Ramsarrans in their midst to the fvck!ng kerb. They don’t ask for our permission when it is actually required such as when they decide to spend billions of our fvck!ng money. It is they who choose to keep the miscreants in their fold and to preserve their preferred position in the state apparatus. And no amount of sophistry can wish or wash that away. Priya should be advised that there is only one logical consequence of pissing into the wind which is that your shoes get wet…

It's kind of unfair for the PPP women to have to apologize for what the PPP bad boys do.  But it's good to put them under pressure.

Remember, Priya had the Chat-3 going around with her sharing out the $10,000 free pre-election goodies.
