Entries coming in for Guyana Association of Women Police horserace meet

Entries have been rolling in as Turfites and horseracing fans get excited to hear that the Port Mourant Turf Club in collaboration with the Guyana Association of Women Police has set the third edition of their grand one-day horserace meet for Sunday 25th February.
The meet will have a total of seven races with total cash prize purse of almost $2million on offer.
The G class and lower will be the feature race of the day, being competed over a distance of eight furlongs with a 1st place cash prize of $350,000.
The J class and lower which will be run over a distance of seven furlongs will attract a 1st place cash prize of $200,000, while the K class and lower and the L class open that will both be raced over a distance of six furlongs have been set 1st place cash prizes of $160,000 and $140,000 respectively.
Meanwhile, the L class division 2 and the unclassified will both be battled over a distance of five furlongs with their respective 1st place cash prizes being $100,000 and $90,000.
Coordinator Compton Sancho has informed that the racetrack is in good competition already some 45 racehorses have been entered.
