Nov 03, 2017 Sports, https://www.kaieteurnewsonline...r-tomorrow-at-grove/

Following the non-playing of matches last week due to the Grove Village Day celebrations, football action will resume at the Grove Playfield this weekend starting with the Ralph Green sponsored Under-11 league.
Set to meet in the feature match of the day will be points leaders Grove Hi Tech with 13 from six matches will take on new kids on the block Diamond Upsetters from 11:00hrs.
Grove will be led by the leading goal scorer Jamal Cordis who has 9 to his credit from six matches and he would surely be seeking to increase his tally.
Dwayne Cliffe, Jeremiah Henry and Jevon Pluck among others will lend support to Grove’s quest as they further cement their final four bid.
Diamond Upsetters will be looking to upset the home team and will look to the likes of Ronaldo Adams and Shafeek Russell to deliver a win for them.
Defending champions Agricola Red Triangle have not been showing the form they displayed at the inaugural tournament last year which landed them the title but will hope to come up with a positive result against Diamond United in the main supporting match.
Jonathan Andries and Seon Grant, both with four goals each will have to come up big for their team tomorrow as they seek their third win from six encounters. Jadan Paul and Terry Moore will hope to add energy to the Agricola cause.
Diamond United have been holding down joint second place on the points table with 9 along with Herstelling Raiders but will be aiming to pull into the clear against the Agricola boys.
Ronaldo Adams and Jarrell George will be at the helm of the Diamond United charge.
The second match of the day from 09:30hrs will bring together the red hot Herstelling Raiders and Friendship All Stars in what is anticipated to be a keen clash.
Herstelling Captain Solomon Austin is second on the leading goal scorer list so far with 8 and the busy player will be fancying his chances of adding more goals against the equally determined Friendship side.
He would look for support from Lucas Fontenelles the other goal scorer for Herstelling to date.
While Herstelling will be going after their fourth win in six matches, Friendship are yet to register victory in four encounters.
Opening action pits Mocha Champs, which would be led by the lone female of the league, Kerry Boyce who has three goals so far, along with Daniel Bradford (6-goals), Neil Garraway and Jamal Harry in their quest for a win over another new team, Samatta Point / Kaneville which will look to Devon Parris, Akeem Francois and Shamar Lyken among others to secure win number three for them.
The top four teams following group play will advance to the semi-finals.
