Elisabeth Harper’s daughter beaten, robbed

As crime spirals out of control, the daughter of former People’s Progressive Party/Civic Prime Ministerial Candidate Elisabeth Harper in the 2015 elections was on Wednesday beaten and robbed by two armed men who invaded her Farm, East Bank Demerara home. This newspaper was told Melissa Pollard, daughter of Elisabeth Harper, was at home when two armed men kicked opened a grille door, gaining entry to the house. Reports are that about 10:00h, Pollard was at home when she heard a crashing sound followed by two men entering her house.

She reportedly attempted to run but was cornered by the men who were unmasked. As they accosted her, they demanded that she hand over cash and jewellery but she claimed she did not have any money at home. The two dealt the woman several blows about her body. Guyana Times understands the woman sustained lacerations to the head, face, back and other parts of her body. The men tied up Pollard and ransacked the home as she looked on helplessly. They reportedly carted off a quantity of jewellery, mobile phone and iPad, among other items.

After the men left, Pollard managed to free herself and raised an alarm. At the time of the robbery, the woman’s daughter had already left for school. Harper, mother of the traumatised woman, expressed thanks to the Almighty for saving her daughter’s life. She said the scenario could have been worse and for that she is extremely thankful. Harper noted that her daughter was too distraught to speak with the media and was enduring a lot of pain. The former PM candidate told Guyana Times her daughter and granddaughter live alone and on the day of the incident, the bandits apparently thought that no one was at home. However, she noted that Police responded promptly and has launched an investigation. She also noted that her daughter was taken to hospital where she was treated and sent away.

VERY TRUE.  Brigader Granger is doing what he knows best, was trained to Kill!!!

Take a look at these countries and their military dictatorship records, each one of them was put in and/or taken out by the US.

Argentina - Jorge Rafael Videla

Panama - Manuel Noriega

Guatemala - Carlos Armas

Nicaragua - Anastasio Somoza

These military dictators caused endless bloodshed on their own people.  There are other countries that belong to the list.  David Granger's name will soon be added.

You will note that more than 50% of Guyanese voted for APNU/AFC.

Given this it really is about time that you accept the fact that on TWO occasions the PPP only got 49% of the vote.

The PPP screams that it is a "coolie party" and then screams when the over 50% of the voters who arent Indian reject them?

They run an election screaming demonisation of people of African descent, and then scream when they are almost unanimously rejected by the over 30% of the voters who identify as African, and just under 20% who are mixed, but  with most being part African.

Quit your Maduro bullshyte and accept that the PPP lost because they claim to be a "coolie" party, and the Indian vote is no longer the majority.

Please stick to the topic or I will have to ask Amral to fork you over to a new thread.  You do know that Elizabeth Harper is not a coolie woman right???  Come on man put your Ivy League education to good use.  Don't let me down.

1. A collection of a few names.

2. In time, it will be seen where David Granger's name will be placed.

Of note though, it is is Joseph Harmon who seems to hold the power.

Since the PNC took office countless Indians have been robbed and killed. Indian businesses are prime targets. All the crimes are committed in the same fashion. Car waiting, guns and cutlasses as weapons. Money and jewelry is their objectives. Victims are bound and gagged, beaten or killed if resisted. Granger send a coded message to his folks in Barbados to come and invest and be rich. Guyana is our now to take back our wealth. How can this be a coincidence?

What does your rant about Granger being a US supported dictator have to do with the topic.

And where is Elisabeth Harper today?  Still sure she is a PPP supporter?  When last we heard she was begging Greenidge for a job as an ambassador.  She probably has whipped herself, and walked on glass for being so silly as to be involved in the PPP which crowns itself a "coolie party".

Here's a bunch ah fkin idiots now saying this has something to do with the victim being attached to the opposition.

So every dam crime in Guyana is only against those from the opposition?

You're a bunch ah fkin stupid ignorant losers. No sense discussing anything with losers.

THIS IS ONE OF THE REASONS THE PPP LOST,THEY HAVE IDIOTS IN THEIR CORNER.

You get a taste of your own medicine now that your boys are in power. When PPP was in power you blamed every crime on them, even if a person trip and fall it was the PPP fault. ahaha

Yes. I blamed them for doing absolutely nothing during their tenure to curb crime, they instead, as far as we know, hired killers to work for them.Their most famous is now languishing in a US jail.

Indians are a majority of the victims of violent robbery, crimes and rape.

Ramjattan must move aside and or resign.

President Granger must now be pressured by Indos to take action. Indos may eventually have to rise up and revolt if the PNC fails to take action or appeal to UN for help.

There is clear evidence that what is happening in Guyana is ethnic cleansing and blatant PNC racism.

Jagdeo called the PPP a "coolie party" and Rohee agreed that it was a "coolie party" as this is where almost all of its support is from, and what its leadership mainly is.

You can deny this all you wish, but the PPP made this claim and catered to and encouraged the most deep rooted fears of Indians, rather than trying to get Guyana to move beyond the morass of ethnic distrust.

The PPP failed to get the majority vote TWICE and needs to accept the reasons why. Indians are no longer the majority vote.

Just the other day a band of Indian pirates was arrested for robbing fishermen.  And this after many other Indians arrested for engaging in this activity.

Yet as usual you wish to pretend that every black man is a bandit disinterested in anything other than stealing from Indians.   No wonder crime is unresolved.
