Courtney Crum-Ewing shawn smith! tell them when ppl say "d best coolie is a dead" u have to believe, ask fagdeo, his regime & d GDF, what made me this ****ing angry even tho i won? when in 1992 ur regime mandate was to have blackman eat shit and drink coolaid;in 20 yrs of dictatorial 1 party rule 100s of black youths executed in th streets, they piss on indigenous ppl by dumpin cheddi name on d airport no consultations necessary when burnham & d ppl of this country chose to honour the amerindian heritage by chosing to name d airport Timehri.when d regime print money for d boys, steal money from d public sector, rape and bugger kids,d poor & d powerless, then ashni and jaya trys to explain and justify to me that my fight is someone elses,it has nothing to do with me & ashni tryin to explain y his matey jagdeo victimised me & it wasnt personal,im not just insulted & horrified but im motivatd to c them all in ****ing prison or sentenced to death for their crimes against to people of guyana. This regime is evil, unpatriotic, racist, nepotistic, caollous & despotic if as a guyanese u chose to remain silent for god has blessed u or u hate me for standing up u need more help than d regiime does.i am very embarrassed & ashamed to be Guyanese.

Mark Devonish I understand where you are coming from Courtney since I have first hand experience of what you have stated above. That is the main reason why I have renounced my citizenship and totally divorce myself from anything Guyana related. I will maintain this position until I see a change and have a country to be proud of. Having said that, I do believe that you should not paint all Indians with the same brush. There are good and bad in any race. I can tell you of my experiences with many blacks which I must say I am still hurt about today. I have seen good in many of my Indian, white, black , Hispanic friends. I have equally seen bad in these groups. I will never stereotype any group since I would rather not be stereotyped. In closing I will stress that I do understand your pain but try not to let it make you bitter.

Courtney Crum-Ewing Md i love u my brother and i wanna start by concurrin with most of what u said.i will never stigmatise any person or group, as a victim myself i do know better, my indo guyanese brother & sisters who know me understands what im about & know my heart, i ve said this b4, we have honourable, resourceful, upstanding ppl of all races in guyana that we can celebrate & be proud of as guyanese,my issue has nothing to do with regular folk, its bigger, as u would agree im sure. MD I just built a house here & decided to hire black guyanese to build it,they came one night & wreck d place stole thousands of dollars in stuff, even tho there was a witness to d crime d corrupt elements in d force here made sure d criminals got away wit d crime;tru it all I still prevailed & there r still more stories where that came from.do i now c them any differntly?yes.do i c all black ppl d same way as a consequence?no. This regime resent despise & continues to flagrantly undermine black people as payback for god knows what. it bothers me that gdf officers like roberts would rather suggest to me that i return to gt fight d regime when they owe it to d ppl of guyana to do jus that

Mark Devonish Courtney we go way back.I remembered when you were commission as an army officer.I saw it first hand at square of the revolution.I am quite sure that was a proud moment for you. Just reflect on all the positive in life and the negative will take care of itself.I can tell you stories of my time at UG and my horrors at Georgetown Hospital. How I deal with those pains is by looking at how far I have come. When my daughter hugs me and say I love you daddy, that is all that matters. Never allow people to control your emotions.Believe me it hurts when they see you smile.

did u read the entire exchange(s)? or u just content to stay in your ethnic comfort zone, happy with some strange idea that the evil of what happened to this blackman is 'mitigated' by Crum-Ewing "damning" himself

a lot of 'signaling' going on

Why don't you read the Facebook posts for yourself.  You must think such sentiments are OK; I don't.

You have to be an extremist to complain about the airport being named after the Father of the Nation is a mortal wrong.

I'm sure Jay did not say that or mean that.

It is a fact that Crum-Ewing made some rather distasteful comments about "coolies" on his FB page. In Guyana's semi-literate society and simplistic polity, I can assume he meant PPP. I saw some pictures of him with Indian friends so I further assume his hatred of the PPP and the fact that they are an ethnically based party is what he inelegantly termed "coolie fi dead."

Regardless of these unfortunate (at best) statements by Crum-Ewing, that in no way whatsoever makes his death excusable or even less of an evil. It may however mean that he isn't the "perfect" hero martyr the Coalition may want for a PR campaign (at least not among Indos).

If you take that tact to one statement from the man, what should we take of yours?   You said, for example,  the only good job for a  black man is for him to wash your car. You said black women are not good for marrying but for quite apt for f,uc.king. Now you also made other comments no less distasteful but I chalked all of that up  to the recklessness of an  unstructured mind. I do not see you doing it now which meant you possibly had a cathartic moment somewhere along the way over the past 4 years.

Mr crum said none of the things you said. He said none of the things your horrible Cousin said or even Ugli. What he said was  per his friend he would not use the racist terms again.

Paul Jairam your cousin, posting here under the name Cobra said some of the most despicable things about black people and so did Yugi. Yet these are the same scumbags who relentlessly are taking   Mr Crum to task as if what he said is a tragedy given their new found morality which; guess what, ... cannot tolerate racism!!!!.I am appalled at the hypocrisy here.

Indian racists as those in the PPP milk their prejudices for all its worth yet when others  react to their brutality they are offended. The racism we see from some folks here is  just the tip of what is a massive racist Indian culture in our society. I know it is sourced from collective ignorance and deliberate repression of  history. I am not speaking to burnham here. I am speaking of the brutality meted out to the ancestors  by their own.

I think it made them into the horrible racists they are in general with very few among them left with the vast burden to redeem the race. Worse it left the young to shoulder this burden also because being  educated and exposed to other cultures they can see the elegance of comparative cultural worth without the intervening prejudices of old.

Since most older Indians live the lie as to the value of their intellect, culture, and creed. Mr Crum is the racist  because he did not accept the injustice he sees in the society stoically. But instead of being a racist he was in fact the one on the wall trying to beat it down. Racism is a disease and the disease vector presently is the PPP. They allows for the perpetuation of the same internecine warfare between the races. Lets be clear...black people, amerindians have no cultural prohibitions to others. This duglarization cry is  racism rising as cream.
