Well it is a hard question to answer, but I can tell you that it always feels good to be the numero uno, then maybe you will have that real Sharukh Khan feelings:

Django, you can reach those heights too, there is an easy way to climb that ladder.......first you look what number you you have, and then check the next ten person who is higher than you, and then try to pass them. If I guess correct, you will see how easy it is to reach up there.

my favorite male actors is Ajay Devgan and

Amir Khan.

Bai, not the greatest, but amongs't the greatest, he is right up there with Amitabh, and Dilip.

And Kajol - best female actress in Bollywood.

I like their acting very much but Shahrukh brought back Indian cinema from the dead. He is the best in my books. 

We cannot underestimate the other two greats.

Excellent actors but like cars, we have our favourites.

He was in his forties, and Saira Banu was in her low twentys when they decided to get married......and today that marriage still lasts.

Dilip had relationship with very beautiful women including the Diva of Beauty Madhubala.

That is not his real name,great actor name does not matter.

Madhubala, Meena Kumari, their stories were very Sad, and they were both beautiful women.

This is all very interesting.  I will have to watch a Dilip Kumar movie one day.  Which one do you recommend?

Take in mind that when looking at these film that they are not glitzy as now, at that time films were only shot in India. Despite Dilip Kumar winning six or seven Film fare Awards cant say if these two were included. Love Andaz because of the acting ability of the trio, Dilip, Raj Kapoor, and Nargis: The songs in Andaz placed Mukesh Chand Mathur on a Pedestal.

Devdas (1955) almost became synonymous with Dilip Kumar. He immortalised this story of star-crossed lovers and unrequited love.

Like Devdas of recent.......which is more fashionable and more glitzy.

I'm watching Andaz right now.  So far I still think Sharukh is the best in terms of acting skills.  And I really like that Cuckoo Moray lady in the film......reminds me of someone......

IMO, India has/had greater actors than Shahrukh Khan, but this is not the place to discuss this question.

I enjoyed Hindi movies when I was younger. Now I find them very depressing and lengthy. I go to a friend house once every week and every day they look at Hindi movies. It's like the same thing over and over. Indian soap is worse. Every episode is just crying. Today's Bollywood has become a copycat of west to mass produced movies and ideas. Originality is lost and skin deep on the rise. India's innocence is lost through Bollywood. I never could understand why most older movies has raped scenes. But now I know and that played out lon Indian women on a daily basis. This is just my choice and opinion of Hindi movies. But others like my friend and many that I know are still happy to sit and watch a beautiful oldies with great duets of yesteryear. BTW, I never gave up on the songs. Listen in tomorrow on GNI political for a Friday special with DJ Nehru, DG and other contributors. 

For pure acting among the Bollywood actors the best is Amir Khan for male and Vidya Balan for female. Shah Rukh Khan is a star, like Deepika Pudukon and both are good looking and are very good actors, but Amir and Vidya are like the Tom Cruise and Meryl Streep of Bollywood. Irfan Khan is goodto the popint that he has a few Hollywood and HBO gigs under his belt. Priyank Chopra is now doing some good stuff with Quantico though that show is fading.

mmmm!!  mmmmm!!!! Now all you gotta do is start to like the new govt...mmmmm!!!

As a young man, I enjoyed Bollywood...but they have become so boring nowadays...the actors are not even trying to act, the focus is on the song and dance

I have a very good friend who is Russian.  Her elderly mother lives alone so she is always stopping in to check up on her.  Every time she goes to her mother's home she is watching a Bollywood movie.  When the actors are crying her mother would cry also.  So by default she watched a few of the movies with her mom.  One day she asked me, "Are all Bollywood movies musicals?"

You need to look at Movies with Vidhya Balan, Pryanka Chopra and Ranbir Kapoor, I think they are better than the old time Actors.
