Vinyl Record Sales Increased 32% in 2013

In the midst of the growing adoption of music-streaming services such as Spotify and Pandora, vinyl records have made an unlikely comeback.

While CD sales declined 14.5% last year, vinyl sales grew 32% from 4.5 million units sold in 2012 to 6 million sold in 2013, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Even digital-music sales have taken a hit, as streaming becomes more popular: Overall album sales fell 8.4% last year.

It looks more like a SL1210 than a SL1200.

I got a rare turntable as well, an example of which is in the NY museum of modern arts. This thing is so rare, and existing known owners so far and few between that  if you Google the make and model of my turntable, my name comes up as an owner .

I have a Gerard that was part of a consul I bought in California for $45. One of these days I will make a small box for it. For now, it is in a carton box on a shelf in my garage.

Back in the 80s I had a Technics by Panasonic doan know who makes em now. I'm sorry I sold the darn thing but at the time I probably needed some cash to get me some brewskies. Dem days Iman drank like the dam place was runnin outta beer and I had to get as much into me as I could.

Cain dem things can fetch up to $ 1200 these days.
