Yuji, this is about both image and integrity. I have never felt that there is any shame or loss of image for one to acknowledge not knowing or being unfamiliar with a subject. What I cannot/will not accept is blatant dishonesty; particularly when one attempts to assume an air of 'I know it all' as Prashad had consistently done. It became very evident to me that he 1) really knows very little and 2) his thoughts and opinions are close to 100% impulse-based but with no pre-thought or application of reason (common sense). Anyone who examines his 'opinions' will quickly realize that he is neither formally educated nor widely read. The core of his problem is that he really seems to believe that he knows lots, however, whenever one 'drills down' into his writings, one quickly realizes that he is driven ostensibly by impulse and not by knowledge, information and practicality. As an example, Prashad advances segregation of Guyana as a great means to resolving its political dilemma. He proposed that the country ought to be segregated along ethnic lines with the counties of Essequibo and Berbice being amalgamated into one country and Demerara (flush in the middle between the other two counties) being another ! Who in his right mind can possibly attach merit to such a dumb-ass territorial arrangement ? How does a citizen get from Essequibo to Berbice without accessing Demerara ? His predicament is made worse by his dishonesty because he posts loads of rubbish and, to make matters worse, he appears to actually believe there is merit in what he writes. He confidently wrote that the current Syrian crisis is due to intervention by North Korea ! Today, Prashad wrote about Pakistan as follows: I saw with my own eyes in PakIstan captured held Kashmir a Kashmir independence supporter be beaten like a dog with bamboo sticks by Pakistani police. But this traitor Keffer turns a blind eye because he knows if he speaks up then the Canadian embassy will have to bring his body back in a box back from Pakistan. As expected, he cannot/will not provide date, place, particulars etc. I have been involved in humanitarian work in various parts of the world for many years and, apart from numerous other countries that I work in, I have been to both India (11 times) and Pakistan (10 times) and have travelled widely in each of these two states. I am certain that the govt. of Pakistan will refute every word that Prashad wrote with respect to his claim that he was personally in Pakistan and witnessed this because there is no such anti-Pakistan movement in Azad Kashmir. Prashad strongly suggests that India should cultivate a strong relationship with Eritrea, however, he quite evidently has no idea where Eritrea is in relation to the Indian sub-continent and furthermore, what benefits will accrues to India from such a union ! In a nutshell, the above are examples of Prashad's writings. In my view, and I am being quite charitable, he is woefully uneducated and really does believe that his suggestions are all practical and workable. For my part, I have never been reluctant to say that I do not know something or that I am not 'au fait' with a specific subject. Prashad, on the other hand, appears to know everything about everything and really does post sheer rubbish ! In my opinion, he has a massive inferiority complex and therefore consistently puts up a front of 'I know it all' even though he does not know a shyte !!

Keffer as I said before you are one dumb brown. It is public knowledge that there was a train accident in North Korea several years ago. The train was carrying nuclear material. Several Syrian scientists were killed in the train accident. Their bodies were so badly contaminated by nuclear material that it took enormous difficulty for the North Koreans to return their bodies to Syria.

Keffer have you ever met an Eritrean woman. What is the difference in her look and a Guyanese East Indian woman look. It is clear that there has to be a past connection by historical trade etc between India and that part of Africa.

As for the Pakistan captive held Kashmir and the independence movement I will not say more on this matter other than you are being shown what the Pakis want you to see. You are such a dumb brown that you cannot figure it out.

This is not a pleasant spectator sport, yuji22. Too much negativity and acrimony is shared by the two combatants. No one will win. Prashad and Keffer are both adults and they should step back, take stock, and resolve not to expend their valuable time and brainpower over this futile exchange. Their individual lives contain more meaningful qualities which deserve their focus.

If you read my first paragraph, I recommended that they both sit down with veggie burgers, diet coke and chill out and sort out their differences.

You and I fought toe to toe at GNI but in the end, we drew a truce and became friends to a point where if  you advise me to end a discussion or if I am getting too carried away, I listen to your advice. We differ politically but have no hard feelings. I feel that Prash and Keff should draw a truce and call it a day.

My call for a boxing match was just a round about way for members to step in and draw up a peace agreement. It is not to enhance the battle. I apologize if it came across that way.

I read and like both of their opinions. I feel that Prash's call for an independent state (rightfully or wrongfully) is what gets under Keff's skin.  This is what ignited this battle.

This is a political discussion forum and posters will have different opinions, we can argue and fight but this is getting a bit too personal for them. Reminds me of Tom and Jerry.

My hope is that they draw a truce and end their battle.

Prashad's postings are clearly indicative of his lack of both education and knowledge. That he is a lame-brained simpleton is okay; each of us have physical and intellectual limitations.
