Arite, Ah gat to believe you since I never went there.

I lived in many parts of the U S A and I finally settled in Toronto Canada. We have everything, peace and quiet, good health care and the police don't shoot coloured people. T O is the melting pot of the world, food culture etc., Nehru, if you are allowed, well ,some day visit Canada, you will love it..

Thanks for the invite Bhai.  I will try my best to visit one day.

First time in about ten years I am actually watching a few games and yes T.O deserves it this time. These guys are making some out of this world plays, they are exciting for a change.

Josh Donaldson has horse shoes up his butt, that guy seems to get everything he goes after. Yep the Jays gotta win it this year.

This coming from an ole Cleveland fan.

Also following the cycle races..Tour of Spain and Tour of Alberta (Western Canada)

If the way the Mets have been winning means anything, it must mean that this is a special year for them. Sure they now have the softest schedule but one still needs to play and win the game. Ask Serena about that.

I watched the Mets blow the lead last night only to win regain the lead and win. Today was even more peculiar. They had a two nothing lead only to have it tied up. Then they took a four to two lead only to promptly give back one run and then another to tie the game up again. Then they were down seven to four with two outs in the ninth before tying it up before that final ninth inning out. Then they scored three more in the tenth to win ten to seven. Yeah, the Braves sucked but the Mets went eight and two on this road trip. Now they go home to play those pesky Marlins tomorrow night.

I know, I was disappointed at that as those guys do not usually blow saves.

But last night game we had our ace David Price is right and he was awesome, shutting out the Yanks, did you see the strikeouts of A Rod? Back to 3 1/2 games up.

I actually saw that...was hoping A Rod hit a grand slam

I experienced more racism in toronto as a kid than in the US.

Really, ..faster than NY?

When I first moved to Canada I disliked the downtown core and I always stayed away much as possible. Since moving uptown after 40 years in Scarborough I have finally seen the whole of downtown at Christmas time this last year, for me it was where the fruits and nuts hung out so I stayed away.

There has been lots of changes, the streets aren't as littered with the strip clubs showing all the parts of their dancers,on billboards outside their premises and all the seedy looking characters hanging around.

There has been ongoing construction and nice changes even in the run down areas. When I go for walks,I feel quite safe when I'm out there, more so than walking alone around Scarborough at times.

I said Toronto is on like NY on Valium....ie slower. I do like Toronto. Eaton Center at Christmas is my imprinting of Christmas .

Shit I don't know the drugs, yep, Valium downer, dam. hehe

Even the few times I was downtown T.O during summer in the mid to late 70's I never did care much for it.

I much prefer New Brunswick at Christmas, it was exactly how I pictured Canada. Rolling hills with lily white snow ( not much traffic) with a church at the top of the hill, the Miramichi river running at the back of the property which froze over and used for skating.

I even started the fad of wearing a fork as a bracelet out there on my first visit. When I went back I had a good laugh as it was still being worn by a few.

Lots of Moose, at the time I ate everything that moved...well just about.

Passed through once on my way to Nova Scotia to visit St Francis Xavier U. Cannot say I saw much of it to give an opinion.

I like christmas in places where they take the effort to decorate the city..Philly, Manhattan, Aspen....got stuck in Dover two Christmases ago and it was surprisingly nice and flt christmissy.

He is capable of doing the job but was put to s stern test last night and he did not pass. Good pitcher but I am worried about how he will handle the bright lights of the post season in critical situations as a rookie.

Just hope you put enuff runs on the board

well DP is now 0-6 as a starter in the post season...he has to win sooner than later; he is too good of a pitcher to continue losing...

Jays will win the series as long as they stay healthy...I am shocked though that they went into this series with only one backup infielder...

FM

TV announcers, players, managers and media in general have to be diplomatic but I do not have to be.

I was at the stadium today and it was a horribly called game with the Jays getting the shaft. When you know baseball you can sit anywhere in the stadium and tell weather a game was well called, badly called or a team was getting squeezed and the Jays pitchers got squeezed big time today.

FM

I did not want to watch but ended up watching anyways  (like I could have stayed away), Estrada was amazing and Tullo's home run was welcomed, did you see how many double plays they hit into? And yesterday home runs was how I know the Jays to be, did not like how RA was pulled for Price and much as I admired him in the regular season, he did not shine yet in the post season. I am so happy that they tied it up and bring it back to TO. Stoman is on tomorrow and I hope he wins, he's been great since he came bk.

Playoffs more that anytime in the season is all about match-ups.

So, how come he didn't take Price out right after he gave up a run...the "I" in team only meant for RA?

Seems he does not like RA....not allowing a pitcher to get an out with a 7 - 1 lead is assinine...I could understand with a small lead, but yuh leading by 6 runs!

This also meant he was not planning on Price pitching in Game 5

Through all of this, we got a guy who throws over 100MPH and with accuracy for R.A. so all is good.

Harvey struggled last night but let him finish the 5th. That was R.A.'s win. Price had his chance in game 1 and blew it.

the most important thing is that the Jays won...everything else is irrelevant.

A manager manages to win and he won and now he is being criticized...this kinds of decisions have been made forever in the MLB post season ..

it was a good trade for the Mets, however, if the Jays win the world series then it is an even deal..

For the sake of argument, find me a post season game where a pltcher had a similar lead and was taken out before he was allowed to be eligible for the win?
