Politically, Norton indicated that he is weighing his options.

PNC dictators Burnham and Hoyte rigged National Elections but Granger is the most rotten, he rigged his own Party's Leadership Congress. This is quite disgraceful but it does not come as a surprise since he was assisting the PNC with Rigging since 1973.

The PNC just handed the PPP any future election in a Golden Platter.

In that case you should be a very happy man.

But you're not, judging by the intensity and rabidness of your angst against Granger.

Continue to fool yourself.  Both the PPP and the PNC are in deep crisis.  The only difference is that the PNC is more open, and members feel entitled to have a role in selecting leadership, and are angered when deprived.

Now can you furnish proof that the selection of the presidential candidate for the PPP includes its ORDINARY members?

Here is the deal.  Tensions within parts of the PNC are open, and can be dealt with.

Tensions within the PPP fester because there is no mechanism for their views to be known, until they leave the PPP.

Both parties have flawed processes of selecting leadership, but at least the PNC THEORETICALLY has a process which involves its ordinary members.

The PPP treats its ordinary members like Dalits whose only role is to catch dew at late night meetings, wine down, cuss Indians who have freed themselves from the PPP plantation, and drink rum at PPP events.

Writing in today's Stabroek News, Aubrey Norton says: "I am a longstanding member of the PNC and PNCR and therefore will not be that casual about my relationship with our party. Unfortunately, some tend to mix up disagreement with certain outdated modes of operation as disagreement with the PNCR."

As we have all observed, PNC members are allowed to vent their dissatisfaction and grievances openly. This is democracy.

PPP members cannot and dare not do in public what Norton, Vanessa Kissoon and Clarissa Rhiel have done.

Many PPP stalwarts are really angry at what the present cabal is doing to the party, but they express their views quietly and discreetly for fear of reprisals.

Calling an Indo a Dalit is the same as calling an Afro the "N" word. I do not expect anything better from a racist like you.

Nothing contrary said there. Disagreement with Granger and his cabal does not equate to disagreement with the PNC. But what the whole episode does is destroy the whole cult being created around Granger and his image.
