Streetsmart, now that the campaign is over, lets stop with this APNU and PPP and AFC supporters nonsense. If anyone breaks the law, they should be arrested period.

I think we should now come together as Guyanese regardless of which party you voted for or who you wanted to win and move Guyana forward. Let us all pledge our support to the new President and members of parliament from all the parties and lets make Guyana a world class country. I pray that the president be a president for the people and he will make the presidents before him look like joke.

I don't come on here as a PPP critic. I was critical of the Jagdeo Regime because of the blatant crime and corruption and disregard for law and order. I hope Mr. Ramoutar stamp out the corruption and also rid Guyana of the scourge of drug barons! His cabinet will be the first signal.

Lets see how APNU will let a hand to restore peace and calm to the streets of Georgetown.

I dont agree with you, Granger has been dignified and not incitefull. Let them protest and get it out of their system and go back to work. As long as they don't harm people and property, it's their right to rant a bit.

Vish, lets give credit to David Granger for continuing to appeal to his supporters to chill out! Granger has shown great leadership to his supporters which was sadly lacking in the previous leader!

The people was just waiting for am immature comment to go crazy which will not do any good for Guyana and Guyanese! Lets put the past behind and lets press towards the mark of excellence.

I agree. Granger is allowing some steam to blow, he will step up if he sees it's too protracted. It will be his first act as a statesman and part of the ruling Junta.

That is the spirit.

What peace and calm. I did not hear of any riots.
In most countries especially places like Jamaica and few other for opposition folks to come out on the streets and nothing is wrong with that.
Once thier leader address them and tell them its time to move on that will be the end.

Why are you blaming APNU GECOM and PPP delaying tatics caused Guyanese to be on edge

You are quite correct Mr Pointblank sir. The poor APNU folk need to loot and riot, and maybe burn down a few business places. It's all GECOM and PPP fault.

Deal with the facts not the "Spins".

For the last few days the "Crowds" were allowed to go unchecked. Why?

We posted info demanding GECOM releasing Preliminary Results ASAP.

But we are still waiting to heard officially from APNU on this particular issue of unruly crowd.

They are opponents of the PPP since they are part of the fabric of the state. The international was called imperialists by them and you specifically so how come they are now you salvation? Whenever help was offered in crime prevention the PPP refused. This is but deep frustration on the PPP's part that they will have to learn how to be an honest government that is transparent in its actions and has checks to its authority. No more hidden deals and hiring of kin while saying the opposition be dammed.
