Fc this is not a one off event.   This is the second time in two weeks that we see the pnc apologists digging up stories about Afros with a little bit of success, meanwhile there are 1000's of IndoG's who quietly go about achieving distinction but the apologists purpously ignore these achievements.

The very stupid suggestion that this is a one off event means you live sheltered from accomplished people. It also confirms your hypocrisy in pretending the story was posted because of some ulterior agenda and not specifically to recognize a good man. You are here in the US because you stand on the shoulders of many great black men and women.  You, a pedestrian nit, do nothing but spend time putting down black people.

That depends on who posted it and in what context. Be honest about who Pointblank is.

He is not my friend. I do not care who he is. I care that posts and I get to read what he says. And what ulterior motive can he have in posting this current story about a distinguished gentleman?

Well did Pointblank do that in this thread?

Let me ask this question: How about when the accomplishments of India or Indians are posted on this forum many people began posting negative images of India and its people in response?

example?

Prince and I have posted about Benny Parag, I did not see any negative comments

There is a whole forum about Bollywood...hardly any negative comments

There was no negative comments on the UN ambassador, or others selected by Trump who were posted here. The reality is some of these fellows just stink in their prejudices.

Dude... you sound like my ex-wife, taking a perfectly simple issue and making it a drama scene. So to appease your sense of worth, we should only post success stories about Indians?

This is a pattern, the pnc apologists going on a PR campaign to show Afros in a positive light and Indians in a negative one.  All I am saying is that this is contrived and a deliberate effort to influence perception that Blacks are angels and Indos evil. This has been the position taken by d2, cain, django, pointblank and the other pnc apologists.

The question is, are you capable of approving of any post about any successful black person. Is there any post about successful blacks that you will not consider a PR campaign? Do you think the same way about posts about successful Indians?

I do,  read the recent post about the Guyanese Black who I gave kudos. What is being questioned here is the perception being given that Indians are worthles and Blacks are achievers.  Those racist CaribJ and d2 were peddling the myth for years that IndoGs from RH were rum drinkers and wife beaters while AfroGs achieved distinction.

There have also been references to successful Indo Guyanese. You will recall the woman who put a temporary halt on Brexit and showed courage while she was harassed by many.

YOU are upset that Afro Guyanese success exists as it flies into the lie that you peddle that we are a bunch of losers who need to sit at your feet and beg you for advice.

How does highlighting the success of Guyanese who happen to be black suggest that Indians are being portrayed in a negative light.

Admit it. Your self esteem is tied to thinking that you are better than blacks and so this evidence of success really has you upset.

To the contrary. You cannot help but frame issues in ways that harmonizes with your bigotry. I noted often that Guyanese like all West Indians are profoundly misogynistic. It is almost taboo for men to do housework and beating up on women is a pervasive habit across ethnicity.

Note Naipaul wrote of Biswas love his wife but cares more for his cricket bat with which he would perfunctorily administer a beating to her. It is the symbolism of a confusion in the culture that is undecided as to what it really is hence the designation half made people. And yes Indian men have an almost cultural predisposition to alcoholism. The less educated the person is the more that evil bites into his soul.

In RH men dare not beat their wives. I never said they did so again this is another of your manufactured lies. If perchance men do assault their wives the long arm of the law reaches in and smack them right back. Actually, men complain that their women were overly disposed to calling the cops on them is a common complaint.

That Indo woman who tried to block brexit was no success story as you see it still is on track. Lets face it, many of these AfroG success stories are more patronizing than anything, parading a successful Black by the White folks to show that they are not racist while millions rot in prison and fall by the wayside due to social ills.

It's a sad commentary here that some supposedly educated people grudge the success of others on the basis of ethnicity. Much herculean work still needs to be done to whittle away this socially unhealthy mindset. The ideal of social cohesion among Guyanese will not be met in this generation or the next, sadly. When Pointblank or any other Member can post a success story and not get damning negative reactions as in this thread, that will be the day Jesus will reappear.

However, where in the original post is there ANY reference to Indians or any negative comment about Indians?

Nothing against this guy, however there should be balance. If you will note that on this site Indians are portrayed as evil, including Jagdeo, Anil etc. While the Black PNC boys along with their token Indians are considered heroes who saved Guyana from the evil Indians. But today we see economic suffering, dollar devaluation and broken promises by the PNC goons.

Liar! Everyone here, carib included has repeatedly spoken out against blacks, APNU and when warranted Indians and the PPP but some, like yourself, don't wish to hear the truth that in every race and every political party, evil people reside. This has been driven into you folk but you all tend to shut it out only to come back with such negative comments as you have repeatedly done. You people are your own enemy.

Do you portray Indians as evil on this site? When Jagdeo was president, Nehru idolized him. When he was ousted and all his corruption exposed, he made a few, not many, just a few, critical remarks. And now he idolizes him again. Are you saying that you, yugi, Cobra and others portray Indians as evil and blacks as angels?

Honest question, and I expect an honest answer. If the tables were turned and it was the PPP in power and it was an APNU/PNC candidate who wanted to run for a third (fourth in BJ's case) term, how many of you would support it as you support Jagdeo even thought it's against the Constitution?

Howard University is ranked #124 in National Universities. Schools are ranked according to their performance across a set of widely accepted indicators of excellence

Don't blame the messenger, Howard was never a good university. Back in segregration times, it was the only option for colored people, today people have more choices and the bright ones steer clear of this second rate institution.

It is not in rankings. It is in the work product and you are benefitting well from that work produce since it gave you the civil rights laws of 64. Otherwise, you would still be sitting at the back of the bus. Howard gets more than it can accept. Its med school which is about an equal proportion of whites to black accepts 100 percent more than it can take to graduation because by second year more than one half is gone by attrition. More than 10 times apply for those choice positions and is very difficult to get admission since it's selection is on more than grades.

As for you being the bright light that is debatable for most, not me. Bright people do not lie like a drunk. You seem to regale in that art. Worse, I never see you discussing anything that requires analysis and insight. You only know how to brag and spew racist bilge.

When the fox could not get the grape he said it was sour. so was the man who was denied entry to HU says it is second rate.

I know a lot of Doctors, Engineers and Scientist who attended this institution. one is the head of the oncology department at John Hopkins. Also we should not forget who Dr. Drew and his contribution to what we know today as blood transfusion and blood banking.

So to label HU as second rate comes from a feeble minded person.

Cursing a bridge that denied you crossing.       Go figure.

I lived in Drew Hall for a bit. Dr. Drew's work saved thousands of soldiers in the war. Before him, blood transfusion was a primitive art. Think of the millions saved since.   The other Men.s dorm on campus is named after Ernest Just, the black Apollo of science. He revolutionized the biological sciences.

Just goes to show Dr. Drew died because he was refused admittance in a hospital for a transfusion after a car accident, all because of his race, ironic. His daughter Charlene Drew Jarvis was involved in DC politics.

I remember Charlene on the city council. Her vote made Robert Johnson a billionaire

As Marley said...the cruelty of man to man is so unjust....imagine creating a life-saving system and not permitted to use it when one's own life is imperiled to which end one dies from lack of such access.

I know couple engineers that graduated from top universities that are not worth their dime.  Top schools are know to "churn through" mediocre students because of the high fees involved.

The graduation rate at CUNY for the Masters in Engineering was just about 50% when I attended.  The major subjects class sizes were over 100 students so professors were very tough and it was not uncommon to see many F grades, which in a Masters program is basically time to quit since you have to graduate with a 3.0 or higher GPA.

Rankings are there for a reason, it indicates the level of excellence.  Today the students who can not get into the better universities will go to Howard as a backup choice.  I know one guy that kept Howard in reserve in case his daughter didn't get into her top picks. Look at you, a man known to use big words but an empty shell otherwise.
