And with this they are convincing other PNC supporters that the PPP is bound to win, so either join the soup drinkers or just forget about voting.

Why dont you discontruct my arguements rather than engaging in usual Guyanese behavior. Because you dont like what I say you attempt to stigmatize.

I am and have been the most consistently anti PPP person on GNI since 2002. How many who still post here can make that claim?

You sitting down in the USA can hold yourself to your high moral standards. Unfortunately people who earn a living in Guyana, seeing how involved Jagdeo will continue to be, and knowing what a vindictive bytch he is, are terrified to be seen as being against him.

Maybe if the AFc had convinced people that they could win siome would show courage. But they have failed to do this.

Bottom line is the PPP will be even worse than they have now been. People, knowing this are running to their corner to protect their hides.

I said last year this would happen. Then I was called a "PNC" by those who didnt like it. Now I am called a "PPP". I havent said anything now that I didnt last year.

You claim that AFC had much more support the last time, but that did not translate to votes....did it? I understand that AFC cannot pull off the big rallies that PPP has...but I put a lot more emphasis on their work on the ground and in the villages. In the end, this will win over the voters I feel...
time will proeve me correct

The AFC did generate more excitement last time at least in urban areas. They arent this time as folks dont even want to hear what they say.

I said.

1. The AFC was lazy spending most of its time whining to the State Dept than developing a mass base in its core urvban areas and in rural Guyana.

2. When the AFC realized the elections were coming they ran to Region 6 and parked themselves there arrogantly thinking that they had the black vote so could ignore it. Ramjattan had to priove to the Gtwn elites taht he could get votes, something that they didnt see last time, hence this approcah. Hence all the screaming about "how well we are doing in the Corentyne", even though 90% of the voters live else where.

3. Their Albouystown meeting with 50-100 people scared them and so they began a pancked attempt to begin campaigning in gtwn...to empty meetings. I warned them that this would happen with their incessant focus on the Corentyne.

The AFC has failed to convince Guyanese that they will win. They can say what they want but unless they ahve the power to implement it they lack credibility in the eyes of those who live in Guyana. We outside can become lost in moral nostalgia about who is best. Dopwn there they must be practical about who will win, because the victor will dole out the spoils to those who they like, and punsh those who they dont.

Nothing that is happening now surpruises me. I said it since last year and TK, squingy and all the AFCites screamed I was a "PNC". Just to show how silly Guyanese are I am now a "PPP".
