Amna Ally

The Leader of the People’s National Congress Reform (PNCR), David Granger, has appointed Amna Ally MP to serve as General Secretary of the Party with effect from the 1st July 2017. Oscar Clarke, who served as the Party’s General Secretary through the tenures of three Party Leaders has retired with effect from today, 30th June 2017, a release from the PNCR said today.

Clarke served as a Member of Parliament for twenty-one years and in 2015 he was awarded the Cacique Crown of Honour for his exemplary public service to Guyana.

Ally, MP, the release said, is a longstanding member of the People’s National Congress Reform. Like her predecessor, she came through the ranks of the Party’s youth arm and served as National Secretary and on the National Executive.

A trained teacher, Ally possesses a Teacher’s Certificate from the Cyril Potter College of Education and a Degree in Management from the University of Guyana.

Ally also served as a member of the Eighth, Ninth and Tenth Parliament, 2001-2015 and is currently serving as Chief Whip and Minister of Social Protection in the Eleventh Parliament.

The release said that the Constitution of the PNCR, at Rule 14 (2) (c) states: The Party Leader may also appoint not more than three Principal Political Secretaries to whom he may assign specific duties.

In this regard, the Leader of the Party has appointed  Dawn Hastings-Williams, MP, Sandra Adams  and  Brian Smith to serve as Principal Political Secretaries.

Damn! Imagine without the dark glasses what she might look like? When God was sharing ugliness, she forced her way to the front of the line. I was behind her. She pushed me into second place. Seriously, she needs to join Weight Watchers.

Congrats to Amna. She is the fourth East Indian to have that post.

And yet you scream that the PNC is an "anti koolie" party.

In fact the PNC should be looking for young, bright and energetic leadership to manage the transition after the ageing dinosaurs leave in 2020.

But of course yet another dinosaur.  What a kick in the face to the youths who were responsible for their victory in 2015.

I somehow suspect that women arent getting themselves wet at the sight of Rohee, or Ramotar  And even Jagdeo is way past his prime.

So I wouldn't babble too much about looks.  Granger is older (almost 20 years) than Jagdeo and yet much fitter looking.

Amna Ally is a bright woman who was appointed to that position to appease Indo_guyanese. She also will be responsible for the 2020 Election Campaign Ans she is well versed in the art of election rigging. Need I say more.

Let's see if Bibishka agrees with Caribny.

I will suggest that if Indos are fooled by the appointment of a dimwitted dinosaur then they are truly simple.

Now is the time that the PNC should have found some one in their 50s to take over. If that person was Indian so much the better as a way of signaling that they are open.

But this is another example of a gov't run by people who are a mere decade away from dementia.

Bibi has been throwing herself at Jagdeo for at least a decade and thinks that one day she might "change" him, and snatch him away from Bobby.

I actually agree with you.  Jagdeo set the precedent by unilaterally awarding himself an outsized pension and now these ageing PNC dinosaurs are rushing to take full advantage.

Then Jagdeo wishes another term so he can enhance his pension package.

Then folks wonder why Guyanese sat out the LGE and might do the same 3 years from now.

BTW the people most gifted at rigging are Nascimento, McLean and the former Hammie Green goon squad who all defected to the PPP to get milk.

They remain seated right there in the PPP (the PNC doesn't want them back), having been beaten up by Jagdeo for failing to rig effective last time. Those fake ballots were spotted a mile away and extracted.  This is why Jagdeo is now such an angry man.

I have not had such a hearty laugh on GNI for a while..  But the 'fro' hairstyle takes the cake.

jaggy has not indicated that he wants to run for a 3rd term. And if he did and won, His previous pension would be jeopardized.

It would not be jeopardized. His years of service will be added and he will enjoy the benefits of Granger's outrageous salary increase. Together with his own outrageous pension increase the man will be hugely happy.

And this is on top of the ill gotten gains from his years of gross corruption. Don't scream that he hasn't been jailed because every little kid knows that when he stole he bought insurance buy dropping a penny in Harmon's hands. Plus the rampant corruption that Harmon is now engaging in is with the PPP cronies. So no. Jagdeo isn't going to jail because he will take Harmon with him.

Those ageing PNC dinosaurs saw how wealthy paupers like Jagdeo became in 12 years and they want to achieve the same in 5.  So they sit at the feet of the corrupt master who schools them in the art of theft.

Jagdeo and Harmon laugh mightily at the notion that idiots like you don't see the corrupt cabal that the leadership of both parties are.  In fact Harmon probably told Jagdeo that he isn't going to try too hard to win in 2020 to allow Jagdeo his chance to get a 3rd term. Nothing that these characters are doing gives me the impression that they plan to win in 2020.

Jagdeo in the meanwhile has his eyes gleaming in anticipation of the Grand Theft that he and his cabal will engage in. The only problem is those pesky Trinidadians who Exxon plans to award most of its "Caribbean content" contracts to.  Jagdeo is probably chatting daily in Trinidad to arrange to get his cut in exchange for leaving them alone.

It is also known that Granger isn't too bright so doesn't understand the lessons which Jagdeo gives, so isn't going to retire with anything other than his pension.

In the meantime Robert Persaud is running down APNU to get his cut of certain corrupt deals on projects that he arranged in his time, but which came to fruition under APNU. And he might get it too. This is further confirmation of the fact that the PNC and the PPP make their respective support bases look like idiots.

You may be  a slave to the PNC but I hold no allegiance to any party in Guyana.  You and your cronies once stated that Jagdeo's pension was exorbitant now it appears as you now believe that the PNC pension is worse.

I suggest that you read my comments above and then determine whether I am a PNC slave.

I really don't think that Harmon wants it known that he and Robert Persaud are in negotiations to split the "proceeds" from some land deal which Persaud started and which is now being culminated under the APNU.

I see in your drug addled brain you concede that I might think that the PNC pension thing is worse (it is because their salary increase on top of Jagdeo's raping of the treasury is a huge scandal).

So how can I be a PNC "slave" if I out their nasty laundry and the corruption that continues in consort with notorious PPP characters.
