Prashad, I strongly suggest you devote your time and energy to your toilet cleaning job and leave others to discuss and deal with subjects that are clearly too complex for your pea-size brain. You do not know your ass from you elbow but true to your 'pot salt' nature you shove your ugly snout into subjects about which you evidently know nothing ! Have you ever been to India ? If you have, you would know that discrimination based on skin color is more rampant there than in most other countries. Do you know that, in some parts of India, dark-skinned people are not permitted to walk on the same side of roads and streets as lighter-complexioned folks ?

Keffer is right on this. A Buddhist Indian told me that some untouchable low  caste Hindus walked into a high caste Hindu area at night in India and they were chopped brutally to death for being untouchables in an upper caste area. My solution is this. Never stay in any religion that discriminates against you. That is why Prashad does not follow any religion. Prashad gives his money directly to other less fortunate people who live on the streets.  When I die I plan on walking into heaven and ask God for 70 roti and then ask if he can throw in a bucket of curry and potatoes.

I lived in India for some time, traveled all over.  There may be color differences but one thing, education breaks color/caste barriers. What you are saying is bull-shit, absolute nonsense.  In marriage there is still a preference for caste and creed among some, but that is losing steam in the cities.

The most educated class of people i India are from the (darker) South and they dominate a lot of Corporate top brass positions.  Indians respect people who work hard and have accomplishments, regardless of color.

None of this is like what I saw in Jordan/Syria.  They just don't like dark color regardless of education or accomplishments!  What you are talking is bull-shyte!  You may refer to a few backward villages, but this is not modern India!

I am not in the squabble between Prash and Keff.

As a matter of fact I think Prash has the upper hand in this on going battle. What Prash  does is smart, he  throw a few punches and then Keff get wild and start screaming, kicking and punching.

I told Kef to invite Prash to fast a few days this month.

There is nothing anyone can/should do for Prashad; he has to do it to/for himself. Like most other participants in this forum, he needs to understand and accept the fact that it is unwise to jump into every discussion without knowledge/understanding of the subject. He has an inferiority complex which was brought on by his lack of knowledge so, like most other folks do, he needs to be content to read, learn and ask questions instead of humping head-first into subjects that he knows nothing/very little of.

What shakes me to the very core is when I see the wealthy white Syrian Arab elite of Trinidad meet and they have their East Indian servants staff serving them and waiting on them hand and foot. It is a truly humbling experience to see. It makes me wonder what really we East Indian people of the Caribbean have truly achieved.

I have been closely involved with Corporate India and with village live through the Rotary.  I believe you are misrepresenting the reality to defend against the fact that there is overt racism within Muslim societies.  And yes, there are issues in Indian society given the 5,000 years old caste system, but how exactly does this mitigate the fact that overt racism is prevalent within Islamic societies?

Prashad, you have evidently just learnt that there is a place called China so you rushed to use it, haven't you ! Remember that you are not supposed to drink the detergents and air fresheners; you are to use them to clean and fumigate your masters' toilets as you do your daily cleaning ! We are beginning to realize that a whole lot of 'stuff from the toliets' is now permanently lodged in your under-developed brain !! Given that you are only marginally outside of the circle of illiterates, you should make a point of using this forum solely to practice reading and comprehension !

The issue was discrimination based on race, color and it is prevalent in many Muslim/Islamic societies.  Many fair Muslims do look on darker people with disdain.  In India you get an education and perform, you are recognized and rewarded, regardless of the color of your skin, hair or eyes!  That was my experience and observation living there!

What you believe is entirely up to you; but in this instance you believe wrong ! Discrimination is not now and has never been a 'Muslim' problem; it is a human phenomenon. My reference to India was merely to point out an example of what I personally observed there. It is disheartening that some of us, despite being able to utilize and benefit from education and technological advancement, are still steeped in 'us and them'; consequently failing to see the folly of such thinking.

Yes, I refer to mitigate as something in your head.  You were the one who dragged in issues of India when racism was exposed in Islamic societies.

Banna, I think you lost track all together how this convo started and got here:

It was a reference by someone to racism within Muslim societies.

You then dragged in India and as to somehow justify your position.

I challenged you on that since my experience and observation there was different from what you were spouting.

You then referred to people being shewed away from roadsides as your proof.

I told you these were pan-handlers and not an issue of race.

You then went all over like a headless chicken.

The point I was making, there is racism in Muslim societies, something which i saw for myself.  So don't act as if Islam is the answer to all human ills, in fact I would argue it is part of humanity ills.  Furthermore, I would add, if society adopts the principles in the Ramayan and the Gita and the virtues of Christian bible and the Magna Carta, the world will be a better place!!

You were caught in a web of lies about what happens/happening in India on this front.  But you can only fool those who don't know better!  And you will get buy-in from the gullible and ill-informed!

I do not know where you lived in India; to date I have been there 11 times and spent an average 3 to 4 weeks each time I have visited. My work takes me to towns and villages all across the country and I have personally seen people being chased away from specific roads and sections of towns and villages; all because of either caste or social standing. You are perfectly free to call it bullshit or whatever you wish; that is entirely you prerogative.

I lived in Mumbai and traveled all over and to many rural villages.  On the side, I got myself involved in the Rotary and went into many local and tribal villages.   People are shewed away from road sides, etc as a lot come to pan-handle.  This has nothing to do with caste, color or creed.

1) Do you understand the meaning of the word 'mitigate' ?

2) The issue was discrimination; what has 'Islamic societies' got to do with     what I wrote ?

About a year ago I saw what looked like a white Arab woman and an black African male. After speaking to them I realized that they were married. Well I never saw a white Arab woman married to a black African. So I asked the woman which Arab country she is from. She said that she is not Arab but her father was East Indian and her mother German and she met her husband at the mosque. Then I realized I am still waiting to see a white Arab woman who is married to colored folk like us.
