It was said that Jesus went to India and learned from the "swamis" there. I was told that most of his teachings are from the Hindu philosophy.

There is nothing to brag about here dude. Based on the account in the Bible, Jesus did not teach much and did even less.

The Quran never mentioned any prophet in India nor does it mention Hinduism or any other religions of India.

The Qur'an did not declare that no prophets were sent to the people of India. It does state that God has sent prophets to every nation.

Your incessant reference to ethnicity strongly suggest that you were violated by someone who is not of South Asian origin; I therefore believe you badly need psychiatric counselling and guidance ! That is only the conclusion if you read  his words with your head and not your understanding. It is clear that he is profound since they have sustained a faith for over 2 thousand years. Jesus is a scholar of his time and a moral teacher par excellence.

What is written of him is also from a viewpoint from those who knew him to those looking back and recounting the historical narrative with respect to their own world view. In all of the canonical gospels they capture a man of great character, enormous charisma and definitely a scholar.

From the beginning to the end of his ministry his words layer the distant past of his people in his presentation with the understanding of their present needs and he always leaves it open ended enough that they matter to others across two thousand years.

It is pure villainy if not absurd posturing to say otherwise.

Nehru, have you ever been to India ? If yes, then you have evidently never been to Indian Kashmir or anywhere close to Kashmir ! My work takes me to a wide variety of places all around the world and I have so far been to India on 11 occasions. Except for two visits, both of which were for less than two weeks, every other trip lasted from 3 to 8 weeks and I have been into Kashmir 8 times. The Indian army is unquestionably deliberately brutal and confrontational with the Kashmiris. I, and others who work with me, have personally seen their barbarity first hand several times and there is no other way that I can possibly describe their attitude and behavior. It was particularly painful to see how soldiers treated little children, no older than 10 to 12 years of age, who were on their way home from school. My observations and reports, as well as those of several other colleagues, have been lodged with both the UN and the Indian government. The govt. of India has never even once acknowledged receipt of any of our reports. I do not mind telling you that the attitude and behavior of the Indian army has unquestionable worsened since Modi became India's prime minister.

D2, wouldn't you agree that almost everything Christians think of Jesus are what is said of him and not what he actually said or did? No doubt there are volumes written about Jesus but as one analyzes  them it becomes very clear that they are assumptions of who/what Jesus is and not what the Bible actually records him saying or doing. In fact, the negative things he said and did are more clearly recorded in the Bible. Indeed, most of what Christians think of Jesus is what Paul wrote of him and not what he actually did. While 'understanding' can be what one is taught, his actual words and actions are unfiltered and open to interpretation. That said, I am not in error if I chose to not accept the church's doctrines and rely solely on his unfiltered words and actions.

Regarding his sustainability, remember that for the first 300 years Christianity was an underground cult and did not become mainstream until after it got the backing of the Roman Empire. Even today it survives more because it gets support from the rich part of the world than by its doctrines.

i don't know why you say that he was s man of great character. I saw a person who was bigoted by ignoring anyone who was not a Jew. He called people demeaning names and was even disrespectful to his own mother. People are within their rights to say whatever wonderful things about him even if it is not accurate. Likewise, I am within my rights to use his words and actions unfiltered if I choose to.

I have been to Pakistan many times and I am unaware of any problem of police brutality. You, on the other hand, cannot even spell your name properly but you are an expert on just about every subject under discussion. I have been not only to Kashmir in Pakistan but as far north as Chitral; being the idiot that you are, that will mean nothing to you. Despite being developmentally challenged you continue to post rubbish by shoving your snout into subjects of which you are completely ignorant. My advice to you stands; get the hell out of here because you have no capability of making even a minute sensible or rational contribution.

Ksazma, I see no harm in anyone participating in discussions here but a degree of honesty is critical. This dumb-ass writes sheer trash and evidently hopes that by some stroke of fortune, he will earn the respect of other participants. With virtually no exception, everything he posts is contrived garbage ! Just take a minute or two and look over his posts; his favorite being 'as I said before' despite the fact that he said nothing before. Furthermore, he fabricates fantasies about white Arabs, brown Arabs etc; so frequently that I suspect he must have been physically violated by an Arab ! The man is a first class idiot, for no apparent reason/basis suggests that India should cultivate a relationship with Eritrea ... no reason, no effect, no benefit, no logistics but he thinks that is a good idea ! The dumb-ass does not even know where Eritrea is ! What a waste for his father; planting two or three roots of bora would have been more beneficial !

That is what I am responding to now. The other digression can wait. I give you specific examples of his profundity. I said he was conscious of his theological legacy and punctuated his preaching with emphasis on how what was discussed mattered and in general terms that they are prescient across time and across cultures.

Pauline theosophy is another thing for another time but there I disagree with you also because while he did indeed impressed a world view on Christianity it was in the methodology of his proselytizing and not because he invented christian history or words for Jesus.

Paul was a an educated jew and his arguments with James and the Jerusalem church and his confronting of Peter in Antioch was to emphasize Christ and Christianity not Judaism even if he admits to a continuum.  Anyway the above is what concerns me. I do not have time but will respond as time permits.

Incidentally D2, that is my current position about Jesus. As I look at his words and actions listed in the Bible I find it interesting that someone described as gentle would express such disdains for so many just because they were not part of his inner circle. Consider his dismissal of the dead with his "let the dead bury the dead" comment to list one. You are familiar with all of them so I wouldn't bore you with them. The negatives of his words and actions far outweigh the positives in my opinion. There was a 1979 book called the 100 which listed Paul as third most influential person in history ahead of Jesus and the author posited that Paul is more influential to Christianity than Jesus. Jesus is more the shadow leader while Paul is the actual leader and that is easy to see as preachers quote Paul much more than they do Jesus or God.
