The man from Peshawar.  I met a Patan girl at Mall of America several years ago.  She told me that her grandmother knew the Kapoor family when they lived in Peshawar.

You came to Mall of America and did not look me up? Just five minutes away from MOA. I am just across from the military base..a couple hundred yards.

RAJ KAPOOR: A LEGEND IN HIS OWN LIFETIME:

The Government of India  honoured him with the Padma Bhushan in 1971 for his contributions to the arts. India's highest award in cinema the Dadasaheb Phalke Award was bestowed him in 1987 by the Government of India.

NB It is shameful to know that the Indian Authority did not bestowed upon Mohd Rafi with the Dadasahed Phalke Award, although there was numerous clamoring for this award for the deceased Rafi Saheb.

Prash, I think you meant to say a 'Pathan' girl. As a matter of interest, how do you know she was a Pathan ? People do not usually tell others, particularly strangers, about their 'lineage' or social grouping in that part of the world and for good reason too.

I asked her if she was from India. She had a kind of Pakistani type look but her color was almost as white as an Iranian.  Her husband was a  Pakistani. But she did not say if he was Pathan. She said that they were only married recently. I figured it probably was an arranged marriage because she told me that he was an American citizen and she was in the United States less than 2 years. She asked me if I was single.
