He's also an Executive Director of the Indo-Caribbean Alliance - a Richmond Hill body - and Vice President of the New York City Economic Development Corporation (maybe a rival body to Vishnu's RHEDC) His NYU masters degree is in Public Accounts.

If this is the organization to which you refer, it is way bigger than the RHEDC, in no way is it a "rival", and one can bet that there are as many VPs there than there is at Citibank, meaning that being a VP brings no real clout.
