I met with young Richard David today. He has declared his intention as candidate for District 28 /Richmond hill/South Jamaica and South Ozone Park.

Richard came to the USA WHEN HE WAS 10 YEARS OLD AND HOLDS A MASTERS FROM NYU.

Let us all support this young man.

He might be the Richard David of the Community Board 9 serving part of the Richmond Hill area and surroundings. He's also an Executive Director of the Indo-Caribbean Alliance - a Richmond Hill body - and Vice President of the New York City Economic Development Corporation (maybe a rival body to Vishnu's RHEDC) His NYU masters degree is in Public Accounts.

Same fellow Kari.

We had a long discussion today and I promised that I will introduce you  to him in the coming days.

I have known this young man for 10 years and he has done a lot for our community.

I met him before - young, decent fellow with interest in civic affairs. I might have met him at the recent screening of the Jahaji movie at the ICA office in 130 St and Liberty Ave

If this is the organization to which you refer, it is way bigger than the RHEDC, in no way is it a "rival", and one can bet that there are as many VPs there than there is at Citibank, meaning that being a VP brings no real clout.

On a serious note, what is holding back Shaits ? He should throw his hat into the ring but I honestly do not have any knowledge of NY politics.

I will need to know more about him. I will do my research and then decide. Mr Haq seems like a nice Guy. I had a ticket from Sanitation and wrote the Borough President, he replied on her behalf.

Chief you are peddling someone but you do not seems to know relevant information.

Who asked Richard to run?

What has he done for the community?

Whilst he was a Big Wig at the EDC, did he help any organization in our community?

I would pay money for a copy of Chief's speech.  It should be priceless.  One question - how many times was the word "hate" in there?
