By earning a Marshall Scholarship, he has proven that he is also one of the best in the world in terms of academia. He is not by any measure a hard core religious nut or a hard core anything for that matter. Gorsuch comes from a family of outstanding lawyers. Both his parents and grandparents were respected attorneys.
