The PPP turned a blind eye to the drug trade because it was bringing in huge revenues to the economy, providing their greedy pockets with kickbacks from the drug barons and filling their campaign coffers with blood money. Serious crime spiraled out of control and they didn't lift a finger because they could always blame the Bogeyman PNC and the black man for crime. It was a win win situation for them all around. They refused professional help from Scotland Yard and the US DEA in trying to bring the drug trade in check. No money was spent on treatment centers or social programs to help drug addicts to curb their habits. The result is the out of control crime wave that has been gripping the nation for years now. The chickens have come home to roost and we have the PPP to thank for it.
