Haasil: The 2003 film featured Jimmy Shergill, Hrishita Bhatt and Irrfan Khan in the lead roles and was directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia of Paan Singh Tomar fame. The film featured a realistic portrayal of the student politics in universities as well as gritty performances from the lead actors and Irrfan Khan won the Filmfare Award for Best Actor in a negative role for essaying the role of villainous Rannviajy.
