In 25thousand years we will hit a galactic cloud and chances are it will scour away our atmosphere. Assuming we are smart and is still around having not murdered each we will have to over come hundreds of extinction events. But the very universe will possibly shred itself in about 60 million years. Religion is just a way to keep people from the reality that there is a big nothing after death. Fortunately, none of us will be disappointed.
