I think, any government, past or present do not know of the preparations to attract investors. It does not matter whether it is Guyanese of all races or Foreigners, investment follows a scientific method. Guyanese Politicians preferr AID rather than collecting taxes from businesses. Suh, why do anything to foster employment for the citizens. Poverty attracts International Aid, easy money to squander and syphone off.
Go-Invest have idiots. And the PPP time, they also staff the Agency with Idiots.
I always apply for a job with them. Ofcourse I never get it. And is not a Blackman against Cooolie thing. The PPP never gave me the job either, and this was under the government of Dr. Jagan himself. He gave the job to a woman who was excellent on theoretical applications of attracting investors.
Entreperneurs doan have time for all the niceties, they want results in the shortest possible time. The government needs to know that and implement the initiatives to guide the efforts of the person with the ideas.
