Not entirely true. People don't replace their electronics due to failure of the equipment. They replace them with the latest gadgets which have newer technology. Go to the internet and see how many dated iphones and other electronic gadgets going for at highly discounted prices from the original. Even cars which can run for 200K miles are replaced by the time they hit 50K by consumers looking to keep up with the trend.
