Some folks on GNI thinks i am PNC,well they are surely wrong,my support for the coalition government was the change from one party rule,i detest one party rule and the winner takes all electoral system in Guyana,in my view it's not a true form of Democracy.

Please permit me to respond to your post objectively and please reply in an objective manner.

The PPP was NOT a one party rule. A One party rule is what we saw under dictators Hoyte and Burnham. In fact, Hoyte was a bigger rigger Dictator than Burhnam. If you say that the PPP become arrogant, then we can have some agreements along those lines.

All elections under the PPP were free and fair AND CERTIFIED by the Carter Centre, OAS and teams under the International Teams of observers.

Perhaps you meant to say that a single party governing for a long period of time is not healthy for democracy and if that is want you meant then I agree with you. It is up to the people to make that choice and no one should interfere with the democratic process of Free and Fair Elections.

The biggest fear is that Granger wants to or is indicating that he wants to rig and we must all be vigilant in not allowing him to destroy democracy in Guyana which many of us fought for free and fair elections after 28 Years of PNC dictatorship. In the end, Guyanese must choose a government of their choice. America and India are democracies where elections are free and fair.

Yes, winner takes all is not healthy for democracy. Granger said prior to the election that APNU will not be winner take all party. Well, he lied because the PNC took it all with the entire treasury and have set up organizations like SOCU etc which appears to be targeting one group of people. They are living the BMW lifestyle in a Donkey Cart economy.

Granger is demonstrating all of the signs of a dictator in the making including interference in the Judicial system by endorsing the actions of Basil and refusing to accept a GECOM nominee which is a requirement of the Constitution of Guyana, he need to respect the Constitution and is not Above it.

No matter how we view it, True Democracy is the will of the people expressed through the ballot with Free and Fair elections. Guyanese are now smarter and will use the ballot to teach political parties a lesson provided the electoral process is free and fair.
