I'm just articulating a fact that Indian People hold the PNC responsible for 1997, 2001, and then Buxton. Period. You can throw in all them other coolie bandits you like. But the narrative here is one that is distinctly anti-PNC from the collective Indian standpoint.

You can prattle all you like. I don't care about the individual issues with this narrative. The Indian People believe it and act accordingly and you and your nuancing ain't gonna help that.

shaitaan, stop hiding behind behind what "the Indian people believe" and make a proper case for what you believe

btw, u look like a klown following councie with the lameass "goon" shit . . . leave that for the PPP paid posters

u can do better

Hey Parosin,

1. I've always liked the word "goon" for some reason. It's a personal joke. I don't expect you to understand. It's not meant in any way as an endorsement of Councie. But I can see how you got that impression. I just like the word goon is all.

2. I'm not hiding behind what "the Indian People believe." I would be happy if the Coalition came to power in this election. I'm coming around to it. Not because of the AFC or Moses or Nagamootoo or Vice Presidencies these people will get. It's because I personally like David Granger and I trust him enough to give him a chance.

This is in spite of the fact that I'm still pretty goddamn annoyed about the post election anti-Indian violence since 1997 linked to the PNC. It feeds into this narrative of a general hostility to the Indian presence in Guyana I don't even want to believe exist in the hierarchy of the PNC, our main Opposition party and the principal Black nationalist party.

I have my political directions which shift with changing circumstances. I'm not a party man. My beliefs do not shift. I want a Guyana that is fair to all its citizens. Black, Indian, and other. I want the race wars over. My principles are yours. They are Anglo-American. Pretty standard.

I do however try to understand the sentiments of Indians and Blacks who don't share my experiences and certainly my liberal and rational outlook on politics. I must try and understand the average Indian and the average Black because they're the majority. I know enough to know that I am not the majority. Indians are now an incredibly diverse people. We are no way near some monolith.

Just look at Cobra and I here. Cousins and we're poles apart politically.

Bear with me at times. I display a lawyerly ability to see things from multiple angles. Not some attempt to deceive. This you can see as I am trying my best (successfully) to swallow the Coalition for the greater good of all of us, in spite of the fact that in some ways some rather naughty people will be rewarded for doing some very naughty things on the strength of General Granger's coattails.
