The RSS and ranks in the BJP are hindutva by decree and that itself is nationalistic and insists that only an indian is Hindu and as such can never be anything else. They are a spontaneous and in their opinion, a natural expression of the faith. No one cause them to be. Muslims and Christians are deemed errant Hindus not adherents to another faith. I see much of their practices as fundamentalists and cult like. The title of the thread is wrong. One cannot be Islamic and be Hindu. However one can be a Hindu fundamentalist and lots of those exist.
