Burnham did too much damage to Guyana and its people to deserve any happy birthday wishes. At least from me. There are some people around who try to soften his image and make the man out to be redeemable. He was a dictator, full stop and his regime placed a lot of hardships on Guyanese. Chased a lot of us to foreign lands which I don't regret anyway. There is however a few things that puzzle me about Burnham the dictator and his relationship with the PPP. I probably already know the answers but I still ask these questions. Why did they join forces with him and offer critical support just a few years after he rigged the 1973 and 1968 elections? Why were they pursuing a National Front government with him which would have created a one party dictatorship? If they hated Burnham so much for the dictator he was, why did they embrace Castro who was a much worse dictator than Burnham?

Because policywise, Burnham was fulfilling Jagan’s dreams. But where the rubber reaches the road, Burnham didn’t give a sh!t about Jagan or anyone else. Politicians are generally only for themselves.

Two Commie Clowns hugging up each other.

Regardless of the errors these two men made we cannot allow Guyana to go down the path of totalitarian rule and economic chaos. This is the direction Guyana is heading. Amerindians have been the most marginalized and manipulated people and the time has come to demand their share of Guyana whether in the air, land or sea. Exxon should be given notice that a powerful Amerindian party has emerged that will take action to stop the madness going on with revenue from oil
