  • Our sister Caricom nations use the same model without any fear.

  • There is no system in the world that can give a 100% guarantee of fairness in every facet of life.

  • The judiciary plays an important role in bring justice to the average man in society as well as the powerful. Our judiciary is in dire need of reform but it can only be done with the support of the opposition. The opposition view Carl Singh appointment to the high court as the only problem with the judiciary.
  • It is political and utter non-sense. Just because he is an Indo who is impartial and refuses to a Holder or Claudette Singh he is deemed a traitor in the eyes of the PNC.

  • Why should one ethnic group control the judiciary and use its powers to subvert the executive branch and the fine works of the Independent Elections Commission???

  • Have you forgotten the dark days of the PNC when the WPA and the PPP demanded that the Election Commission be given the rightful powers it truly deserves and let be an instrument working in the interest of populace rather than for a single political party???
  • In 2002 the government embarked on a project to root out its hostile aggressors outside the scope of the law. It hired Roger Khan, and his devil's foundlings to do due duty in a murder for hire scheme that killed dozens. That was tyranny.

Most people on this site stood by that and still do. They justify the use of a murder by the leader of a drug cartel as defensive actions against organized opposition insurrection aimed at eliminating the PPP. Being incompetent and ignorant of their moral obligation to utilize agencies of the state within the scope of the law in all such responses; they instead responded only as bullies they know how, by murder. That is tyranny

Today the PPP clamor about their environmental consciousness. But they were the ones who sought out known desiccators of the environment and pillagers of indigenous cultures all the way in Singapore and Malaysia. Cheddi screamed that the environmentalist are bad and they are out to hinder development. When the international powers intervened and warned he cannot do it without oversight ( they had no forest rangers), he agreed with a 5 year moratorium. However they went around this with Chanderpaul's invention "exploratory leases" so the pillagers can come in before the infrastructure to protect the environment was developed.

And come in they did; under dozens of names pretesting to be locally owned as well as foreign owned but all under the same Malaysian family control. The PPP turned a blind eye dispite warnings many of which still exist in archives on the internet. Even in instances deliberate of cutting outside their lease areas hence theft they were not sanctioned ( JJ even forgive one when the craven theft was made public). And then they took to buldozing entire villages like baramita, the PPP still turned its back. That is tyranny.

And the list goes on; complete lack of transparency in every state use of funds or resources. There was the Beal deal that could have given away most of the Essequibo cost in the Waini area at the expense of evicting some native 120 families living there since time immemorial. We were lucky that collapse. The buddy, deal, the flip deal, the giving away of 45 of our land to an unknown Indian furniture maker, Pradoville I and II etc that is tyranny.

CARICOM nations use the majoritarian system but they do not have racially bifurcated societies as ours. that is the main source of the failure of Westministerism in our society. And no one is asking for perfection. We want checks and balance. We do not want the gerrymandering of the constitution so the PPP can maintain their leadership ballet between Civic and them. Our constitution has lines of succession and it is to be sacrosanct. People in office are there because they are supposed to be competent in their roles and can stand in not be placed in there because a party needs a negotiating tool.

Then there is the matter of democratic centralism foisting a mutton headed megalomaniac in the form of Jagdeo on us and now giving us his version of "Mini Me" in the form of Ramotar ( only he is a fat piggie Mini Me). That is the PPP disrespecting democracy and more concerned with their grasping for power. It is not that they would inevitably lose if they instituted accountable devolved system where the people can pitch in to run things smoothly. They want power exclusively because the need the option to be fatted calves with uncontrolled access to the nations teat so as craven scoundrels they can milk the nation dry.

Why is our judiciary not functioning after 2 decades of their rule? Simple, they do not want it so. It is an after thought. And quit being an idiot and confusing yourself about not wanting one ethnic group to control the judiciary or anything. Is that not my principal point of contention? The PPP is an Indian actualized party run by kith and kin of the PPP cabal so we have an oligarchy based on race and dominated by a clan! Speak to that if you can see a race neutral judiciary or any commission. That you appeal to this as evidence to refute want I am tying to tell you is pervasive speaks to your confusion and defense of the indefensible. The PPP represents Indian to everyone else and even if it were not it would not matter. Such is the pervasive message wrapped and packaged in the social and political meme. Race matters in Guyana. It should not.

And how can I forget the PNC? The PPP do everything in their power maximize their template. Some say they are the PNC lite! I say they are for all intents and purpose a similar race based party with a similar opacity index in dealing with our resources? Only they steal more!
