Nice work.  They show an order being given and a building being burnt AT NIGHT.  Clearly certain elements reacted at of rage after people were shot at.

Clearly the PPP has no interest in doing anything but to add flames to the fire.

THEN THEY TELL US THAT THE COMMISSION WILL BE OBJECTIVE IN ITS ANALYSIS of these events.  Not only do they not tell us who is on this commission, but they peddle a clearly one sided version of the events.

1.  The PPP is a dictatorship which has no tolerance for diverse view and perspectives.

2.  The PPP fails to understand that this led to its loss of control of the parliament as 51% of the popul;ation felt that they must be restrained.

3.  The PPP tries to demonise those whose opinions differ.

4.  The PPP is doing NOTHING to deal with the clear frustrations of Lindeners.  Yes it is quite likely that APNU and the AFC are trying to capitalize on this, but neither party is sufficiently organized to mobilize all these people were Lindeners not very unhappy.

5.  The PPP needs to stop prattling about how much they have done for Linden.  It is obvious that the massive of Lindeners disagree and indeed the poverty of the town quite visible in the attempt to paint Linden as a booming place (we saw smoke, shabby buildings and some one driving on a raod....clearly too embarrassed to show the real sights).

6 Linden's trials today will be ths sugar belt's tomorrow when the inevitable happens and Guysuco is privatized.  That company has losses that are no longer sustainable.  What should be obvious is that this is in the face of very high prices for sugar! So what happens if/when sugar price sdrop to the noprmal levels?  Sugar workers will be well advised to look at Linden today as it might be their fate tomorrow.

The PPP needs to admit to something. Over 90% of those Guyanese of African and Mixed ancestry think that they are a bunch of Indocentric bigots hostile to the interests of non Indians.  It is not normal for any country to be so ethnically polarized in its voting unless there are underlying problems.  The PPP ignores this at their peril.
