First time I saw a pike I was fishing in a canoe when my cous pulled one in, I just about jumped out the dam canoe thinking it was a snake. Do you eat pike?

Once I had just stepped out the boat and while waiting for my buddy to get out I cast my line and as the lure ( a silver lure looks like a fish sliced in half with hooks at either end) hit the water I saw two circles right where it landed, sure as hell when I pulled at it I had two bass. They must have been waiting with mouths open.
