In closing the PPP also highlighted the dismissal of several experienced non-political diplomats. The party questioned the rationale behind the recall of Ambassadors Bayney Karran and Merlin Udho. Who else was recalled? Who were appointed in their places? This is OK. They serve at the pleasure of the Govt in charge. That's why the PPP had so many of their people as Ambassadors. They could not all be Ministers so some became Ambassadors who are mostly political appointees (even in the USA).
